Strong women don’t seem to give a shite about grouping up and being labeled, they are busy leading and getting shite done, and don’t care for this trivial crap; they don’t have the time, or the inferiority complex these other women have....

Feminism today is not about "women's lib" as it was in the '70's. Feminism today is about emasculating males and berating women who choose to not work outside the home. That's all.

Which definition of feminism are we going off of?

My wife is a pro 1950s feminism that afforded women equal rights and let them get out of sammich making.

She is not a fan of the present sky screamer style of feminism. She says its destructive and only hurts the progress.

No pics.

My wife thinks that feminism was initially important but that third and fourth wave feminism is a joke and only fat blue haired bull dykes care about it now.

My wife thinks the same way. She says it's a stupid movement now that has caused more harm than good.

Precisely. They've totally screwed up the movement. Sadly doing it by reinforcing negative female stereotypes.

The fact that your wife is allowed to have opinions and make independent decisions affecting the family finances is a direct result of the feminist demand for equal rights.

I know that many people believe this, but it’s a misunderstanding of historical male/female relationships.

I honestly think that the original feminists had to highlight the worst examples of injustice and abuse in order to bring about change. The narrative became propaganda (with a small p).

The intent was good, as were the results of change, but our perception of historical male/female relationships became warped.

The idea that there was no allowance for smart, strong, capable women, who ran family finances, and family businesses is simply not true.

I’m not even sure what third or fourth wave feminism is. The whole ideology of feminism is that irrelevant to my life.

You can have all the gender neutral terms you want, girls, but nothing improves the life of a woman more than a good marriage to a good man. Especially one who will voluntarily take out the trash, cut the grass and who you know would do just about anything to keep you safe from harm.

Feminism has taken the true benefits of a happy, healthy marriage and instead told women - you can do it all on your own. And worse, you don’t need a man. And still worse, that the same men you love and respect are useless - if not the enemy. I call bullshite on the whole thing. We were not meant to walk on this earth alone.

Men need women. And women need men. We wouldn’t need each other if we were exactly the same. Feminism thinks we should be. It’s a Marxist, soulless ideology. Whatever wave it’s in.

It's where the wave of SJWs came from. It's the technology based evangelism of "social justice" and fighting "toxic masculinity"

I'll give you a clue how bat shite crazy it is. Here's one of the internal criticisms of the movement.

quote:

One criticism of fourth-wave feminism is that it depends on technology. As Ragna Rök Jóns argued in Bluestockings Magazine in 2013, "[t]he key problem that this '4th Wave' will face will be the disproportionate access to and ownership of digital media devices." The fourth wave is left with the "inherent classism and ableism" created by giving the biggest voice to those who can afford and use technology.[19]

Camille Paglia is probably my favorite liberal on the planet. She understand women can fight for their rights without attacking masculine men. For a lesbian, Camille really likes Alpha Males and has no issue with them.

She understand there are differences between the sexes and important differences. She hates the beta weak limp willed beaten down males of this era.

There was a time and a place for feminism (i.e., women's suffrage and equal treatment in the workplace) but that time is no more.

Modern feminism spews hate and intolerance of men. Yet another example of how the left has gone quite literally insane.

It seems like I read some of her stuff many years ago but I can't remember her perspective.

What you have shared makes sense though. We are different. There is no denying that. Each has its own strengths and weaknesses. Ideally you work together to fill the void as needed without celebrating the weakness of the other.

Camille Paglia knows exactly who she is. Just like Alpha Males. That's why she's not threatened by alpha males, and why no strong woman is.

Paglia is the only left winger I pay any mind.
