She has struck out over 115 batters so far to 7 walks with a sub .80 ERA. She has amped up the velocity on her pitches as well, she is upper 60's now

Jordyn Perkins has looked really solid as well

More stats to add but I don't have her stats for her last two starts.

Do you think Perkins signs with LSU too?

Better tap the brakes here. the difference between pitching some crapy HS games and pitching for LSU is immeasurable. saw her pitch last summer. Good but not great against good competition.

With all due respect since the LHSAA split the public/private schools in sports like softball, football, basketball, etc. Softball in the private school division is incredibly weak.

Been telling 357 this for 2 years now.. she throws meatballs because she doesn’t get much spin... (throwing hard means next to nothing vs decent talent). I saw her vs a fairly average travel ball team and she was serving up batting practice. And a friend who’s a coach said she was nothing more than a political signing because of her dads ties to LSU.

Depends on which classification. Div 1 is weak, while Div 3 in select probably rivals 5A year in and year out. 2 strong Div 3 teams moved up to D2 this year.

Regarding the 3 LA signees, Tidwell from St. Amant will be1st to play. She could play on any college team in country now.

I agree with this, but Wickersham is raved about not because of her performance at the hs level but due to success with travel ball and performances at different elite camps/showcases

I am excited about Tidwell, her bat is phenomenal. Although I would expect Wickersham and Kilponen to obviously see the most/first reps of everyone since we lose two senior all Americans in the circle.

Stewart and Karrington will see immediate time in the OF. We lose Emily next year and as of now we don't even have a solidified RF, if no one truly locks it up this year LSU very well could play with two freshman in the OF. Stewart is the real deal. I haven't seen the other play in person

If Clark's power translates next year I would have a very difficult time not seeing her in a lineup card. Torina has made it clear over the last 6 months that we need more power in our lineup

In reality LSU could be playing 5 true freshman consistently next year. 2017 class is no where as deep and as talented as 2018's

I'm not sure where these reports are coming from. Hoover is upper 60's touching 70 and I've seen that only a handful of times on the pre-college level in 15 years. I saw her pitch a few weeks ago and she was topping out at 62 and was pitching at 60. She didn't show much off speed that day. Gave up about 10 hits and 2 or 3 HR's but still found a way to win.

I like her and she is talented but I haven't seen this level of velocity from her, ever. She is much closer to MB in "stuff" than Hoover. Great pick up for the Tigers.
