I think most people just wonder why he wouldn't stick it out for a few more years and make sure of that. Me, personally, I'll just get a job with enterprise rent a car because they have a great corporate structure, and they give you the tools to be your own boss.

The guy always seemed like a "too cool for school" meathead, then he got hurt, and now he doesn't feel like grinding to get back to the upper echelon. I'm sure some TAF spike chaser will give him $150-200k a year to "sell insurance", AKA, go play golf with other TAF spike chasers.

Then us clowns what?

Nobody is saying it isn't his decision, just that we don't understand all the extenuating circumstances... I'd like to know more about it... hence the "I'd like to read that book!"

He won’t have status on any tour after his 5 remaining medical starts...assuming, of course, he doesn’t win or finish 2nd at least once.

He could win enough money without a win if he plays consistently, but that's really here nor there as it pertains to this conversation.

He's playing piss poor golf anyway. He won't be able to keep his card anyway so he doesnt want to have to start the grind all over again on the web

He’s pretty openly against gay marriage and vocally far right in other political topics. He’s said stuff on social media.

I have heard that has made it hard to get good sponsors.

ETA:

And without good sponsors, your income dwindles from having to pay for everything. It’s amazing pro athletes can’t keep shite to themselves regarding politics.

Damn to see this right after watching the Arnie Tribute is strange to me. Could be a good read though but will probably be lots of Sour Grapes

I wrote about him last year saying the dedication just wasn’t there. He just seemed to always strive on talent alone.

Most importantly he married rich. That usually takes the fire out of wanting to grind it out on mini tours.

How y’all think he “got into ranching”?

I was an honorary observer last Saturday and followed the group with Pete, Gribble, Finau and Summerhays. Pete played pretty good but Gribble was off.
