What do you look for in a brewery?

Obviously good beer is #1 but do you look for anything else?

Warm atmosphere, good food is a plus, decent people behind the bar

Ample seating, outdoor space is a plus, large and frequently rotating tap list so I'm not ordering the same things every time I go, food trucks (also varied frequently), dog friendly.
And as you mentioned, good beer.
Trillium in Canton hits all of those, which is why it's my go-to place.
FYI - only a matter of time until this thread is moved to the FDB.

Plenty of seating, good service, and the workers are cool and not pretentious or too hipster. It’s nice if they have a tasty light beer to go to when you’re done trying all the hoppy and high abv beers.

The Trillium beer garden in Boston during Summer/Early Fall was solid.

Bingo. It doesn't take much to make a brewery good:

I ask this question because I went to a couple of breweries yesterday. Beer was a wash between them but brewery A was packed with a line out the door with zero amenities and seating for 15%while the brewery 1 block away was still pretty happening, had a restaurant and enough room for 80% to be seated and a game room. Hard to describe but it just seemed kinda strange that there were so many more people at the barebones brewery.

Yeah it sure was. Great spot.
Can't wait for their permanent location in the Seaport to open. Being less than a half mile from Trillium taps? Yes please.

Kind of describes Courtyard in New Orleans. Atmosphere and seating is below average, but they serve some damn good beer

Big fan of Courtyard. Great place. If I lived in NOLA I'd probably need to pay rent at Courtyard because I'd be there so often.

Comfortable seating
Food trucks
Servers that actually know beer
Cleanliness is a big one

It’s not imperative, but it is nice when they have a play area for children.
It means I can more easily talk wifey into going.
