Realistic too. Not like Lebron even though he would be a great fit

Retain Cousins, while keeping Mirotic.
Resign Rondo to another one year deal.
Hoping Frank Jackson can stay healthy and turn into a solid role player.
Dump Ajinca.

Rondo/Frank/Ian
Jrue/Moore
Solo/Miller
Davis/Mirotic
Cousins/Diallo

I really like this lineup. This is a top 4 seed in the West next year if can stay healthy, which is a 1/10 shot if I had to bet money on it.

Sign another wing to a vet min kinda like what we had in Tony Allen. No idea who that player would be....

Realistically? No setbacks for Hill. Cousins comes back around 85-90% of what he was pre injury. Ajinca gets dumped without attaching more than cash/2nd. Rondo signs a team friendly deal. Roll this bitch back and see what we can do with Mirotic behind AD/Cousins.

Sign Boogie and Rondo. Trade Ajinca, Liggins, and 2 2nd round picks for Justin Holiday and Jerian Grant or Cameron Payne.

PG- Rondo / Grant
SG- Holiday / Moore / Jackson
SF- Hill / Holiday / Miller
PF- Davis / Mirotic
C- Cousins / Okafor / Diallo

You don't send out a first and 2 expiring cotracts for 2 bench players on expiring contracts. That would be stupid. Holiday isn't in their future plans, he's benched right now for tanking purposes. Elfrid Payton only cost a 2nd.

Re-sign Rondo to a team friendly 1 year deal.

Trade 1st and Ajinca for Dinwidde.

Dinwiddie/Rondo
Jrue/Moore/Jackson
Hill/Miller
Davis/Mirotic
Cousins/Diallo

That's good for a top 3-4 team in the West, depending on roster changes for other teams.

I like all of that, although a first is a bit much for an expiring Dinwiddie. And i think Okafor needs to come back. He's exactly what is needed as our 4th big man, and is also a guy that can help Diallo. And by the way, i've been loving the way Diallo looks when not playing. I konw that sounds silly, but hearing how much he's working off the court, seeing him always be the head cheerleader off the bench, i'm just really liking his attitude. It can only be a positive for him to be that way off the court.

The biggest positive that can happen this offseason is Diallo and Frank Jackson get better and can actually give a positive contribution on the court next season.
If they can't swing a trade for a guy like Dinwiddie, then i'd really like to see them get Fred Van Vleet if he doesn't stay in Toronto. I'd rather sign him, and somehow keep the first while dumping Ajinca.

Agree with all that, TP.

Especially curious to see what we have in Jackson.

Don't forget Charles Cooke. He looks like he can become a useful NBA player too. The fact that the OPs dream offseason is as humble as Ajinca and 2nds for rotation players says that nothing dreamy is likely to happen in the offseason.

Where the dream could potentially happen is near the trade deadline when you can turn Ajinca + Moore + picks/young players into something better. But with the way Jrue is playing it really makes me wonder what you could get that would make sense. They can't afford to add another star if Jrue is playing like someone you want to keep.

I think someone might have hit the nail on the head the other day when they said the roster build is done. AD/DC/Jrue/Niko is the core. Now the focus should be on beefing up the bench and hoping Solo can imitate Jrue in looking better than anyone thought he ever could be.

My dream offseason is obviously resigning Boogie, getting the team healthy, and having them continue to work on the team chemistry that is obviously improving. Then find a way to sign either Fred VanVleet or Shabazz Napier (or trade for Dinwiddie or Pat Beverly - this is the 'dream offseason thread' right?), resign Rondo, let Clark walk, get rid of Ajinca, and sign another 2-way guard (either an older vet like Vince Carter that won't cost much or a guy that is obviously better than Etwaun - meaning we get rid of Etwaun)

Napier/Rondo/FJ
Jrue/Moore/Carter/Cooke
Solo/Miller/Liggins
AD/Mirotic/Diallo
Cousins/Mek

-in that situation, $6.5 mil comes off the books between Ajinca and Clark (which you probably use all for Cousins) and then you have the taxpayer MLE and go into the luxury tax for Rondo, Napier, and Carter
-to me, that is a complete team. one with plenty of versatility, shooting, defense, leadership, athleticism, and A BENCH
-again we are saying dream situation right?

My dream offseason is green light from Benson to pay tax in 2019.

I mean tax player MLE above tax or something like that.

Sign DMC for 2+1.
And make this team as good as possible to convince AD to sign supermax in 2019.
