Unhealthy and not as effective as he should be are two different things.
And the only way to find out is to put him on the bump against live hitters.

Which is why Im curious

This wasnt some slight against him or the coaching staff. Hell Im sure Labas, CPM and Dunn are all just as curious as me.

Like I said. We'll find out Sunday

What's the deal with Storz possibly pitching, but not hitting?

He is a bit too raw of a hitter to really see the lineup consistently. When he makes contact the ball flies off the bat but making contact is a struggle.

Pitching he can throw mid 90s with a good breaking ball. He has a Friday night arm and that’s probably his best chance to play at the next level.

I originally posted this in the wrong thread:

I wouldn't mind seeing Storz go to a summer league to DH for about 100 plate appearances after he finished getting his innings in, just to see where he's at with the bat.

That's not a bad idea if they intend to shut him down at the end of June anyways.

There's no sense rushing him to the plate this year however where he wouldn't see that many at bats at 1B or DH.

Just doing some reading on the Northwoods league site to see where some of the category leaders are playing this season.

The kid from Texas from last week that kept hitting bombs, Zach Zubia. Yeah, he hit 22 HRs in the Northwoods league last summer. Nine more than the second place finisher. I thought Feduccia's 8 HRs were impressive (they are). This Zubia kid can mash.

What kind of pitch count should we expect for him on Sunday? 40-60? I have to think if he gives us three innings or once through the order its a positive. Coming off an injury, and making his season debut against a good lineup like SELU is solid task. It's not an SEC Sunday by any means, but will be much more taxing that Toledo or Sacred Heart.

After that throw the kitchen sink.

That's pretty much what I'm expecting. To my knowledge they haven't said what kind of count he'll be on, nor do I expect them to.

Damnit. I'm gonna miss the beginning of the game. Gonna need some feedback on how he does.

Tickets should be really easy to get... if you can’t find someone selling outside the stadium, I’m sure you can get some though LSU

I'd think 40-50 hopefully through 3 innings. Of course, it depends on how he feels.
