I hadn't seen that article. As I've been telling posters on here and as the article points out, Coach Dunn is in charge of the pitchers. Dunn said Labas needed more time and he got more time....two more days.

Instead of starting tomorrow night he won't start until Sunday.

Then it's been said all day. Fresh stuff there.

From LSUsports, "Commands three pitches for strikes, including a low 90s fastball... a strong candidate to make a significant impact on the mound for the Tigers."

What's the deal with Storz possibly pitching, but not hitting?

Mainieri felted like he could either give 50% towards hitting and 50% towards pitching however the greater need is on the mound. Nick has a power arm, he has a great curve ball that has great life, if he puts it all together he’ll be a starter next year along with Walker and Labas.

Will he hit in 2019? It’s hard to say. He can be a 75-80 power bat but he’s not a great everyday hitter. He’ll yank one out but then look silly at times...this year it’s all about getting him into the bullpen to be a setup piece for SEC play much like Latz was in 2016. Knock on wood let’s hope nothing goes like that situation did

Todd Peterson is having an amazing offseason.

JJ looked great in the manning camp.

Yep. Practice is practice. Have to wait until you see these guys in game situations for LSU before you get too carried away.

Dunn would not allow him to pitch if he wasn't healthy. Stamina will come.

Unhealthy and not as effective as he should be are two different things.

I dont think Dunn or Paul would put the kid in danger if he wasn't strong enough to come back.

However strong enough to play and strong enough to play well are different things.

God I hope like hell that this is the cavalry arriving
