If people want to donate to the federal government for specific projects, it's less money that I have to pay through taxes.

Using private money for government work seems like it could create serious conflict of interest.
Is it a conflict of interest when a private donor foots the bill to help create a National Park?
You have the option on your taxes to donate additional moneys to all kinds of government organizations.
I see no issue with this. I wish more private organizations would step up and do this with sponsorships for roads and bridges like they do with stadiums. Why not instead of naming bridges after politicians, let DOW put forward a big investment to build a new bridge near Plaquemine in exchange for the naming rights.

Not only have previous POTUS’ promised it, Congress passed a law in 1995 with overwhelming support that said the embassy was supposed to move from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem by 1999. However, it allowed for the president to delay the order by 6 months and every president has signed the waiver since.

I think that the only people who should pay for it are the people of Israel. Our taxpayers money certainly shouldn't pay for it when there was already a perfectly good embassy in Israel.
