The liberal propaganda has gone too far

Listen, I’m all for being politically correct, but I think there’s a point where it becomes a bit over the top and starts to get ridiculous. So I’m a high school teacher and over the Mardi Gras holiday I assigned an opinion essay for my class. Anyway, this one kid, who would be considered an SJW snowflake on here, writes an essay about how madden ultimate team offends him and how the video game should be banned because it promotes the selling of human beings. He argued that putting prices on different player cards is just an animated version of slavery, objectification, and makes it seem as though the players are property. Needless to say, I gave him a C- for his horrid use of textual evidence to support his claim and his poorly formulated argument. I just can’t believe people get offended by crap like this! Seriously, it’s a damn game!

ETA: thinking back on it, he actually does make a decent point, I just think that he’s taking it to an extreme. I gave him that grade not because of the topic, but because of his lack of following the guidelines on the rubric.
