I cant forgive Miles for letting Tenn come back and beat us on the hottest most miserable game attended on a monday night no less.

What a sad and negative outlook on life you have. So narrow and self-absorbed.

Once you realize WHY we were playing on MONDAY NIGHT to begin with, and then evaluate if you’ve ever made mistakes, you might have some semblance of human compassion and forgiveness.

And YES, I was there that hot, humid, Monday night also.

For the OP, the question is definitely more intriguing than it seems. Majority jumping on the Wade train with little regard for what was happening with all of South La and beyond in 2005.

Since Wade's season is not finished yet it is hard to compare. Miles' 2005 season would be hard to top after all the adversity he had to overcome to get the team ready to play football. But I think Miles' 2011 season was better than both his 2005 & 2007 seasons.

Wade. Miles lost a game to Tenn we should have won and then got decimated in the SECCG.

How does Alabama not go undefeated and win the NC, or even the SEC, every single year. The best team doesn’t always win, and it doesn’t mean the coach is some bumbling dumb frick when they don’t.

ow does this team go .500 in shite, irrelevant bowls

Not even sure what you mean here?

Miles went 7-4 in bowl games, an outstanding 7-3 if it hadn’t been for The Rematch against a conference team he’d already beaten on the road that happened to be another all time great team.

The other three losses came to an 11 win top 10 Penn State by 2, an 11 win top 10 Clemson by 1, and granted a mediocre Notre Dame by 3.

His seven wins came against Miami, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Georgia Tech, Texas A&M, Iowa, and Texas Tech by an average of
over 28 points.

Of the valid criticisms of Miles, bowl game performance is not even close to being one.

First year coach dealing with the Katrina aftermath and playing an unexpected road game in game 1. I'd say he did great. Took a team that sucked the previous year to the sec championship game.

Of course it is Wade. Miles did a great job with what could have a complete clusterfrick. I don’t think Saban would have done as well at that point in his career as Miles did dealing with all of the outside stuff. Wade hasn’t had the drama and stuff but Miles roster was stacked. Wade’s roster was refried garbage.

Don't forget Dale Brown. 72-73. Very impressive 1st year. The Hustlers turned the program into winners.

UGA was pretty good. 2004 was the real picture of decimation, something like 30pts worth.

If Les Miles would have hired an offensive coordinator with a successful college pedigree and left him alone to do his job, he could have had a career comparable to what Saban has done at ala-frickin-bama. He had a team in 2006 that was talented enough to win the NC. He should have won the NC in 2011 and had the talent to win it in 2012. I wouldn't compare him to Hallman, but there's not been many teams beating down his door for a coaching job. Hiring Greg Studdrawa to coordinate his offense was ridiculous. Studdrawa was a good position coach, but did not have the acumen to compete with good college defensive coordinators. Concerning this thread, the job Wade has done with this group is truly amazing. His battle was not just to get this team playing like a team, but getting them to believe they could win. At the beginning of this season I don't think everybody believed in what Wade was doing and teaching and it showed in their lack of effort on the court. But as the season has gone on, I think most have sold out to Wade's teachings and they are playing with more effort and intensity and belief. I'd like to see LSU win a NC in basketball before the NCAA completely destroys college athletics. It won't be long before top H.S. players start playing in a developmental league that pays until they are draft eligible.

Well since Miles lost his first home game in tiger stadium and his second game of the season, after leading by 21 points at halftime over a very bad Tennessee team, then I'd have to say, Will Wade.

Especially, since Miles was always a very mediocre coach who happened to be at the right place at the right time.

the greatest coach in the history of cfb(saban) with by far the most talent loses to an inferior team every year. its not some huge failure for a lesser coach lose 2.
