Good grief. Am I the only person in this thread that hasn't met Shaq?

Caught a few passes from Warren Moon at a kids camp. Hungout with Steve McNair shortly before he passed away. He was probably one of the most down to earth guys I've ever met.

taught me to ice skate. late in career with the Houston Aeros. my uncle's neighbor was the goalie and I hung out with his kids. Went to practice with them one day and some old guy started helping me skate. Had no idea who he was at the time.

I used to play tennis with Joe Dumars on most Friday's after school. Incredibly nice man. He had the same court reserved I did but for the hour prior. Afterword's he would usually stick around and hit with me. He was an incredible player, even though he looked out of shape at that time.

This was in the early to mid 2000's when he was still regarded as one of the top GM's in the NBA. Once the team started sucking he became extremely unpopular around town. I always felt so bad for him because he was so nice. Once he got fired, he left town and I never saw him again.

For a few years I would occasionally meet and exchange pleasentries with Reggie Miller. A very respectful and genuinely nice person... Jeff Herrod on the other hand, that dude is a dick. Just kidding Jeff, Miss ya bro lol.

This is sort of the most perfectly believable encounter here.

Drew Brees was a douche.

You’ve never met Brees, and you are from or currently living in Atlanta. You are the douche.

I’ve met Devery Henderson and Karl Malone that I thought were really cool.

ETA: Also Burt Jones once gave me a $40 tip for loading a small grill in his backseat. Also forgot about Delvin Breaux, cool guy also.

I know an ex deep snapper/backup TE. He's a douchebag but since he's the only one I know he's the coolest by default.

Coolest is a MLB pitcher. We became good friends and golfing buddies years ago, so I won’t throw his name out.

But, coolest I don’t really know but have interacted with is Anthony Kim. Dude knows how to party. Ian kinsler is cool, too. Played golf with him once.

The first time I met Shaq he was in line right ahead of me for registration at the gym at LSU, either 1989 or 1990. I think it was 1989.

Second time was at a convenience store on I-75 about 5 miles north of Cartersville, GA in 2011 or 2012.
