I am looking for good Italian Sausage. Who do you think has the best?

Also, I am looking for sausage other than Cajun or smoked. I eat so much smoked, andouille, boudin, green onion sausage that I sort of forgot about other types. Looking for a change of pace. Also where else do you get non traditional sausage?

good Italian Sausage

Not good.. but GREAT Italian sausage is at Central Grocery in New Orleans. Hands down the best I've had in Louisiana.

Calandro's is a distant second.
Fresh Market is third. Fresh Market has very good pork.

Outside of Cajun and Italian, Conecuh is great.

Santa Fe importers in Long Beach California. Best Italian I’ve ever eaten. They ship.

I order mine from a place in McKees Rocks PA (near Pittsburgh) from a place called Ricci’s. Best I’ve ever had.

Yep. Of course I grew up less than 2 hours from Evergreen, and it was the local favorite. Also, this thread inspired me to cook breakfast for dinner last night. I had bought a pack of Conecuh to grill with steaks for the Super Bowl. Ended up doing reverse sear on the steaks and my cast iron, so the sausage was still untouched. Cheese grits, biscuits, sausage, and of course some mac n cheese for the kids.
