Mayim Bialik says you should stop calling females, “girls”. GIRL POWER.

You Go Girl!
I know, right? Must take a horrible conservative man to use such awful language.
I mean, can you imagine how disgraceful it would be to have something as disrespectful as a “girls night out”?
I know, it’s erudite. That’s why we evolved folk use “Baw”.
I know I prefer my women to be severe, mean, hard and wrinkly, like a Russian Grandmother
The point is here, if you don’t bop people in the nose when they say idiotic things, it only encourages them to make more outlandish statements.
This needs to stop.

The actress said she recently witnessed two men at a bar talking about a beautiful "girl sitting at the bar." "When we use words to describe adult women that are typically used to describe children, it changes the way we view women, even unconsciously, so that we don't equate them with adult men," she continued. "In fact, it implies that they are inferior to men."

Maybe if we start using language that elevates women and doesn’t equate them with sweet, small, cuddly, tender things, we’ll start treating them as more than that as well.

How bad is life that you have time to sit around and think of garbage like this?
Posted on 1/10/18 at 8:54 am to fr33manator
We probably shouldn’t call them women either. What if they don’t identify as such!

I'd say it must be difficult to go through life letting little things like this bother you, but she's rich and famous, so her life can't be that bad.

I’m guessing she means “subconsciously” instead of “unconsciously”. Freaking moron. Yes, we should take that idiots advice.

I guess I have a thing for Jewish girls because Zosia Mamet could get it. Also basically all those girls get naked in Girls.. Alison Williams even gets her arse eaten (simulated, of course). But you also have to see Lena Dunham naked. Yuck.

This really is not true at all. Men are referred to as boys all the time. This is an imagined issue if there ever was one.

She’s ugly.
Ugly people say stuff like that.

So, do I stop saying “ma’am” also?
Posted on 1/10/18 at 10:03 am to fr33manator
She’s no Bernadette or Penny. Probably upset no one has ever mistaken her for a pretty girl.
