When half the country can see through your propaganda, you have to find ways to force them to do as you want. The sad part is that there are so many dumbasses that actually think this is acceptable.

Why do they stop at sugah watah? What about:
Sugar
Honey
Agave
Wheat flour
Bread
Raisins
Dates
Vegetable oil
Soybean oil
Peanut oil
Canola oil
Everything else that either has a high glycemic load or shitty oils?
I want the government to tell me how to eat, because they've done such a great job with that and everything else so far!!

I wish all types of taxes were labeled in detailed like that everywhere in this country. It would open peoples eyes to how fricked we are getting.

These type of things tend to hurt lower income families. The people the left supposedly represent.

Liberals are act like they don’t have a brain . If it’s bad for you then stop buying it . So liberals put a high tax on sugar drinks but they want to make marijuana legal ? What kinda tax do they put on Marijuana?

Well, to be fair, those are some of the most unhealthy things you can consume that aren't actual drugs. Now, that tax seems ridiculous, but we definitely need to get people on good, old water again. It would definitely help the obesity rate.

Seattle has a thing with failed taxes.
Seattle gun tax backfires as gun deaths rise
Seattle gun tax backfires as gun deaths rise
quote:
Seattle City Councilman Tim Burgess introduced a bill in 2015 to place a $25 tax on every firearm sold and a 5-cent tax on every ammunition round sold.
Since the tax took effect, gun violence has risen and gun sales have decreased, leading to a much smaller payout than the city expected

I don’t agree with it but I also don’t think it’s very different than taxing tobacco or alcohol in principal.
