Confused; Mark said I'd be disappointed if I went in hoping to recapture my childhood.

I wish this movie didn't exist. I've never felt that way about a movie, not even the prequels. But I feel that way about this movie.

I firmly blame Kathleen Kennedy. She was probably flicking her bean like a mad man while watching this shite

Yup.

It is absolutely mind boggling how bad this movie is.

It took massive shite on the entire franchise, destroyed the credibility and good of TFA, directly attacked the OT, and beside all of that and beside all of the source material bastardization the movie itself was just horrible from a nonstar wars standpoint. It was terribly paced and terribly written and anticlimactic with no emotional pull and no sense of danger and no payoff and no climax

At least the prequels stil felt like Star Wars movies. This feels like a Star Wars movie made by someone that hasn’t seen Star Wars

Like I said earlier in another thread, I thought Attack of the Clones was the worst Star Wars film until yesterday.

Obi-Wan said it best:

I felt a great disturbance in the Force, as if millions of voices suddenly cried out in terror and were suddenly silenced. I fear something terrible has happened.

I prefer the prequels. As fricking astounding as it is to say, they have a more focused narrative

No fricking way this is worse than Send in the Clones, the arguably worst movie ever made.

I'm okay with killing Snoke and Phasma, but we needed more info on them.
Killing Luke while keeping Leia alive was dumb.

I hate Mark Hamill's acting in the original trilogy, which nearly kinda almost ruins the whole thing.

Especially since they could have just taken out the worst scene in the entire film, killed her off, and not have affected the rest of the plot.

The OT is so distractingly bad. The acting is actually funny it's so bad.

I 100% get why people love it, though.

You're insane. Maul, specifically Dual of the Fates is one of the best scenes in the franchise.

I liked the force projection. But it ending him?

Also love that it really did have the old Yoda puppet

I've seen it 3 times already and it still. Blows Me away. The cinematography is better than any other SW movie. The acting from Hamill and driver is the best of the entire saga. Ridley is pretty good.

I could nitpick the canto bight stuff because it was an unfulfilling detour but the achto scenes, the force connection scenes between Luke and Kylo, the throne room and the ending were some of the greatest SW moments I've ever experienced. It had me on the edge of my seat and worked masterfully. The cut to Luke floating over the rock and the shot of him looking peacefully into the twin suns pure SW magic. I loved all of that. All. Of it. I loved Tfa but still fast forward through the Rath tars.

It's funny to watch all of the babies melt because the movie didn't go the way they wanted. Lol.

This movie is top 3 for me. Maybe top 2.
