Ole Miss coach Hugh Freeze did last Saturday what no coach has done since LSU coach Les Miles in 2010 and 2011 – beat Alabama Nick Saban twice in a row.

Freeze is also one of the few coaches to have a winning record over Saban as he is 2-1 with the 43-37 win in Tuscaloosa Saturday – Ole Miss’ first in Bryant-Denny since 1988 – and a 23-17 win in Oxford, Mississippi, last season.

Freeze only accomplished those things by running a dirty program.

No thank you.

It's already out that they gave it to Napier. Not the fan favorite here either. Obviously, PSU sweetened the deal for Pry.

Canada ain't taking a pay cut but he's leaving LSU sooner rather than later. He doesn't jive here.

I don't know why it's so hard to believe that he's shopping around.

Hugh Freeze also went 5-7 his last year at Ole Miss. In that year they ran for only 133 ypg and only had the ball 25 minutes per game

I just was pointing out that to beat the Process you have to have Tempo, an Awesome QB, and RPOs.

As far as infractions, sports figures get leniency. Nick Marshall had the GA Chief of Police tell him "son I am going to give you a break because ruining your life for weed is senseless".

And Jeremy Hill got off for raping a 14 yr old girl and Jameis Winston got off for 2 rapes with the help of the Chief of Police, AD, Chancellor, and Fisher.

I do not know what went on at Ole Miss but I don't recall covering up rapes. Freeze rubbed everyone's face in his Bible Thumping. The Booster money goes on everywhere.

Back to Canada. I don't care. This is what his big season looked like...a real inconsistent performance against the weakest SOS in modern times:

well there's that whole thing about using the university phone to call prostitutes. but i'm sure that goes on everywhere too.

There were also a lot of reports of him sexually assaulting minors while he was a high school coach

Alleva more than tripled the DC/OC pay to get Canada and Aranda here and with huge buyouts like Orgeron. Plus he paid 550,000 for Canada's buyout. The highest paid pair in the country with the 74th Ranked Offense and 18th ranked Defense and No Top Ten Finishes. Justify that.

If you don't have an Offense/Defense in the Top Ten you are not going to the Final Four. LSU is years from that. 2015 Miles was 43rd. LSU has only been in the Top 25 2x this decade, 2011 & 2013.

So Alleva writes bad contracts and he is a terrible negotiator. His last 2 Duke FB Coaches were 13-90 over 10 yrs.

Pretty sure it does. LINK

That was the Bible thumping hypocrisy I referred to. Sexual harassment has been dominating the news. It has gone on in every corporate office I worked in, at every school, in prominent wealthy families. It has gone on at every Church. Evangel Christian cranks out Coaching/student scandals. Only 2-5% get reported and the reporting destroys everything and everyone. Anita Hill got shut down so a serial offender got on the Supreme Court. Eliot Spitzer.

"STTDB and show the recruits a good time" is joked about by the students, but it is in the culture of college kids who are looking for a good time 24x7.

Welcome to the revolving door of OC at LSU. Short-term OCs and DCs are what we expect from O regime with hand-off policy. If they do well in one year, they'd be gone the next year. Hopefully, Aranda will stay or we would be doomed.

I guess you're ok with never having a running game and the defense being on the field the entire game?

Let's be completely honest, Freeze didn't have anywhere close to the talent we have at rb he had at ole piss. To put it more clearly he had no talent. They HAD to throw constantly because all their talent was at qb. LSU will always be able to run the ball no matter what scheme we run so I don't understand this flawed argument if we won't be able to run ball if he comes over. He'll have the necessary talent in the backfield to bring a powerful balanced offense.

I’ve always said that.

I would welcome whoever the best available passing coordinator is because I believe LSU will still stay balanced.

Wish Texas tech had fired Kliff. He’s easily my #1 OC. LSU would still run the ball well. He is so tremendous with quarterbacks and has no dark clouds. Maybe we can retain Canada one more season and TT can still suck defensively and move on. They were close this season. He’d be a perfect replacement next season. I doubt Canada stays after next season.. if he somehow isn’t gone soon.

I also agree with the previous poster that it’s silly to say a coach didn’t win anything when he usually has less talent to work with overall.

It’s ok. He found a diamond in the rough with O. Home run hire.
