You are a brave man. I gave an UV for your courage.
I can only hope O does great or we hurry up and fire him, so we can get a coach that isn't kin to half of south LA. It's apparent O has pissed all of his kin folks off. Guess he didn't give them the good tickets to the bama game last year.
I wish we could have hired Jimbo or Tommy so when they didn't get the Best recruit or lose a game we should have won, we wouldn't have to hear all the hate.
Wishful thinking, huh, no way this board will quit with the hate about something or someone.

I'm starting to hate this. I mean, yay o didn't let the team tank. This type of season was seen as a disaster two years ago and got a coach fired. Now we have to hear, well at least the team didn't tank.
Thanks Alleva, the fanbase has lowered their expectations.

The realistic fans went into this season with 9-3 expectations. I never once expected to make the playoffs with a Purdue back-up as our starting QB.
I went into this season hoping to stay afloat. We did exactly that. Looking at the starting roster this season, how tf could you expect playoffs. 2018 will determine whether O was truly a bad hire or not. He inherited a team on a downward spiral. If you think otherwise, you’re blind. This team was a train wreck on the inside when Miles was fired.

Hypocrisy is the foundation of the cult.
The arguments/philosophies/criticisms that filled this board regarding Miles’ tenure aren’t applied in the same way with this fella.
There is something innate in LSU fans that loved being the underdog. They don’t wanna be the favorites with high expectations. Maybe winning when you’re expected to isn’t as much fun as winning when you’re not?
To be the underdog, you must lose. Lower the expectations and joy can be found in unexpected victory.
This is really the true nature of Louisianians in general and LSU fans in particular.

Post the record for the last 5 full years of the Miles era.
Now explain to me this “train wreck” on the inside in as much detail as possible.
I’d like to be brought up to speed.

its his first year, give him a chance to succeed.but im sure you could probably do better.

Dozens of transfers, no decent QB on roster. Players quit playing in the middle of the season.
With O as coach, we have arguably the best running back in college football possibly coming back. Fournette cashed in 5 games into the season. O has them ready to play. Watch us bend ND over. We will follow it up by skull dragging Miami game 1 next season.

quote:The "Cult" of being a life long Louisiana resident with the lowered expectations and bottom of the barrel standards of excellence that go with it.
It’s like a cult. Now seeing what we have seen to this point and knowing what we know about the guy and this fanbase , my prediction was this fanbase would spin 9-3, 8-4 into some version of success and we would catch hell gettin rid of “one of us”. Lowered expectations and unwarranted praise certainly seems to be supporting my prognostication.
Louisiana ranks at or near the bottom of almost every statistical category there is; (Except for food/restaurants) mostly due to the highly educated population and their "Party On/Les Bon Temps Rouler" mentality.
That attitude extends to LSU Football/Athletics. There's no strong demand from the populace for Championships. That's why 9-3 or 8-4 is meet with such strong by so many.
They just don't care, as with just about everything else. That's why the State is so fricked up and arse backwards and why so many LSU graduates have to move to Houston, Dallas, Atlanta or Tampa to find a decent job.
That kind of home grown mentality and attitude is very strong on here. "May the Force of Louisiana Mediocrity be with You."
The Rant Pump Lump Pumpnut Collective: We lost 7 in a row to Bama. No problem. We only lost by 14 this season. That's not too bad. Just wait till next year. We comin. We ridin. Wee be frum Luziana Beotch. Hey Clotea, watch it there, ya burnin my Roux.

I love the “it’s his first year” people.
How many years has he been in the program?
He was gifted an anazing opportunity with an established program loaded with talent.
But it’s the “ I bet you can do better” people that make me smile most.
That comeback would eliminate all commentary unless it’s glowing and positive, right? Hahahha
The dude has been coaching football for 3 decades and for 3 decades every competent AD passed on him became there was somebody who could do it better. Hahahhaa then here comes “I am the search”.
I’m not in his profession, but drawing like for like comparisons ; I’d say he wouldn’t have gotten promoted to leadership in mine either.

The Bama game was as much a disappointment as the Auburn game was exhilarating

You saying this is what's comical. We had just gone for it on 4th and 16 at the end of the game.
