I hate linking this site, but when you are right, you are right.

quote:

It Is Now an Obstruction Investigation Which means that it’s an impeachment investigation.

In ascending order of importance, they are:

1.) There is a great deal of misinformation in the commentariat about how prosecutors build cases.

2.) For all practical purposes, the collusion probe is over. While the “counterintelligence” cover will continue to be exploited so that no jurisdictional limits are placed on Special Counsel Robert Mueller, this is now an obstruction investigation.

3.) That means it is, as it has always been, an impeachment investigation.

I continue to believe that this is the real danger for President Trump: A report by the special counsel, either through the grand jury or some other vehicle, concluding (a) that the president had obstructed the FBI’s investigation of Flynn and of Trump-campaign collusion with Russia, and (b) recommending that the matter be referred to Congress for consideration of next steps, potentially including impeachment and removal.

Yea - but I don't think it's suddenly turned into an impeachment investigation in the past few days. It's always been about attempting to get Trump out of office at any cost.

Impeachment is and always had been a political process. With an overwhelming majority of R's in the House it will be quite impossible to get an indictment. Unless the goal is to use the corrupt media to beat the drum for a seed change in the House and this drifts all the way to 2019 this will go no where.

Posted this in another thread:

Dershowitz claims you cannot have obstruction of justice for executing your authority as granted by the constitution.

Trump has the authority to tell the FBI what to investigate. Trump has the authority to fire
Comey.

Meanwhile, DC lawyers getting paid handsomely by your tax money.

William F. Buckley, if he were still alive, would be ashamed of how the National Review became a garbage rag.

Folks said that if I voted for Hillary we would have a president under investigation from day 1. I voted for her and they were right.

National Review is not what it was when William F. Buckley Jr founded it but even with many of it's current cucked writers it is still a good rag.

Their pieces at least are well written and have merit, even if you may disagree with them

Pretty much what Rush believes. And ANY Republican that even comes close to voting on Impeachment...will be likened to an NFL Player kneeling in support of BLM/Antifa. Let em'! They'll pay dearly.

Game. Set. Match.

Trump will not be impeached on a flimsy obstruction case. Remember, impeachment is just aa much a political exercise as a legal one. The Rs know it would be political suicide to remove Trump without the biggest smoking gun in the history of smoking guns.

Any powers can be abused. When executive powers are abused, Congress retains the constitutional authority to impeach and remove the president. Obstruction of an FBI investigation may not be realistically prosecutable in court, but there is congressional precedent — in the Nixon and Clinton situations — for obstruction to be a “high crime and misdemeanor” triggering impeachment. Undoubtedly, abuse of the pardon power would also be an impeachable offense, even though it is not reviewable by the courts.

WTF? So this guy is saying the president can be impeached for something that is legal and Constitutional, but, "because we don't like his motive," we can get rid of him. Sounds fishy to me.

An obstruction case for a crime that a year long investigation has returned no evidence of. Our government.
