OK baws......my daughter (13) asked to go to the movies with a boy (14) earlier today. I said NO!
So now she's not talking to me and my wife says I am being harsh. WTF?

Stand your ground. You know how someone with a dick thinks. Your wife doesn't.

You’re not letting your child go to the movies?

13 is old enough with a 14 year old and chaperone. Not like he is going to try and hump her in the theater.

Stop being an a-hole and let your daughter go

Stand your ground. Tell her to invite the boy over instead

Invite the boy over and alpha him

Obviously some of us operated different at that age

You're daughter is going to be sneaky and manipulative if you don't let her do anything. The sneakiest and most nefarious people I grew up with had overbearing parents. The ones that were the most responsible had parents that let them do things withing reason.

I would never let my 13 year old daughter go anywhere with a boy one on one. With a group of friends or a chaperone, yes. My daughter will be 15 next month and has not been on a one on one date yet. This may be her year.

Come on you know that kid is just trying to smash your daughter

No way.
Maybe when she is 15.

Let the moms take the kids and sit a couple of rows away.

Best way to handle it. She doesn't need to be in the same row or within earshot even. Just the idea she is in the theater will keep him honest.

Depends on how many people are in there

They are both obviously too young to drive. Why can't you pick the kid up and drop them off at the movies? Pick them up within about 15 minutes of the movie ending.

I got my first blowjob in a movie theater. I was around 14 and she was probably 13.
