Obviously, words or phrases are just that. It's the action and/or execution that are behind them that makes them "catchy" and/or able to be implemented into the work force and actually work.

What's some of the better ones that perhaps are less known that you, an employee or your boss have shared and/or live by in the job world?

I like these three.

Businesses are based on relationships and relationships are based on people.

and ...

Lead by listening. Get feedback from your staff and customers on a regular basis.

and ...

Take inventory of yourself. Where do I have assets? Where do I have liabilities? Who do I know that can help me? What am I good at? What do I hate? Who will I have to hire? You have to take inventory of yourself or you won’t know what you have.

:inbeforebuyin
:inbeforescalable
:inbeforerobust
:inbeforereachout

and all those common business jargons we have all heard one thousand times before.

Always true, but especially relevant now:

Don't shite where you eat.

There's no such thing as a free lunch.

You eat a fly and an elephant the same way. One bite at a time.

Pigs get fed. Hogs get slaughtered.

Effort will beat raw talent every time.

Do not be afraid to fail. Ever.

There is always someone out there younger, better looking, and more talented.

A good salesman can talk to anyone. A great salesman can listen to anyone.

Everyone wants to buy something. No one wants to be sold something.

The arse you kick today may be the arse you kiss tomorrow.

You are never above a job.

A great manager can manage people.

What is today but yesterday'd tomorrow?

A marathon begins with a step.

If you don't occasionally fail, you aren't challenging yourself enough.

When you think you're comfortable and doing your best is usually the best time to worry.

My personal maxims:

“Where there is mystery, there is margin”.
“ people want to do business with people who like them”.
“ Allow your competition to have ALL the unreasonable prospects. Fight for the good ones”.
“ when money negatively effects your quality of life, default on the side of quality of life”.

I like this one. Reminds me of this ...

Go with simple ideas. The simple deals are the ones you make money on. Simple stories with revenue attached to them. Fall in love with deals that have an easy path to revenue.
