Gin & Tonic was my go to drink several years ago before I discovered my love for bourbon

I was beer and wine only, then took up gin a year or so ago. I've tried Hendricks, Beefeater, Plymouth, Bombay Sapphire, Rock Town (Little Rock), Tanqueray, and a few others.

I mainly drink & tonics (Fever Tree), but I've done comparison tests of several straight up. They are all quite different, but none were really bad to me. For G&T, I sort of prefer regular old Tanqueray because it has a lot of piney flavor that comes through. Milder ones like Plymouth or Hendricks are better for a strong martini.

I also got into bourbon in the last few months. Not sure where this is headed.

Negronis (gin, Campari, sweet vermouth) are a good way to enjoy some gin, and you can make a Boulevardier (use bourbon instead of gin) if you prefer bourbon.

I'm a big fan of Citadelle or Prairie

I typically drink gin and tonic or gin and fresca.

Bombay on the rocks w twist of lime. I do enjoy a good martini....if I can enjoy it with a cigar.

I'm a bourbon drinker 90% of the time.

For me there is nothing better than a Gin and Tonic when it gets cold around the holidays

Strange. I pound gin and tonic when it's hot bourbon and scotch is for the cold.

That's because it's almost like drinking a Christmas tree...not that that's a bad thing

I enjoy Gin

I find Cheap gin is better gin than almost any other cheap liqueur is whatever type of liquor it is.

Gordon’s is fine in a gin and tonicZ pretty good actually.

Few things are better to prime ya for a nice steak than a pre meal martini. Dirty preferred.

My tend to like Plymouth as my martini of choice.

I'm glad you mentioned the Lillet. A favorite in our house is to make a Gin and Tonic with bitters and dry vermouth. Along with whatever you want to garnish with.

Citadelle gin. It's found at Calvins in BR. Not sure about other places. It is like $22 and it's fantastic for tonics. I have never seen it anywhere else or at any of the nicer bars around town.

I was going to say this earlier in the thread. I have no issue ordering "gin and soda" and them giving me well gin. Even well gin isn't really bad.
