Make sure you go to Dr. for injuries. I think the dog has to be reported by Dr. for attack. When dog does it again, it will be put down. If no report, nothing can be done.

Humans were injured. Big difference.

WTF makes you think this? They were in a shared area obviously. I'm positive the city has leash laws and probably the association (if one exists there)

Regardless, when there is a dog bite, it is standard yo have the dog checked and or quarantined.

If I go to your house for coffee and your dog bites me your dog will be impounded for this if I make a complaint.....end of story

A little tip for helping separate fighting dogs:

Spray them with the water hose. Works every time.

For his type of living situation, I highly recommend carrying either a spray water bottle or a can of citronella with him anytime he brings his dogs outside.

I'd say that is nice of them to offer, where they have no legal reason to do so, it is shared common ground and something like this was bound to happen anyway.

For a human, not for another dog.

In doing so I think you cross over the threshold of reasonable risk and put the liability on yourself for sticking your hand in there.

This is a great way to have the dog redirect his attention from another dog and onto you.

Wheelbarrowing the back legs is the best way to break up a fight, providing you do not have a spray water bottle, hose, shake can or citronella.

The collar is second best, however when a dog is attacking, there is a very good chance he'll attack whatever is near his mouth, i.e. your hand.

You only have 1 option. You need to buy a sexually mature male baboon. Tie him out in the backyard. He will kill the neighbors dog, the neighbor, and frick his girlfriend. You should watch out though, he’ll probably put alpha your beta arse and end up fricking your wife before his rampage is over.

Dogs fought.

Fight broken up.

No real injuries other than your feelings.

Hopefully everyone learned a lesson.

Grab your balls and move on.

The fact that he NEVER lets his dog around ours tells me he knew it would act like that. Which is what makes me even more mad.

So the fact that he recognizes his dog is dog aggressive and takes precautions to prevent a situation makes you mad? I'm sorry but you're just wrong here. Accidents happen and dog aggression is fairly common. He's been responsible and now has offered to help you.
