Still an open question about coach O’s ability to recruit top 5 talent, we”ll have to wait and see.

But watching LSU deal with a storm and opp. I was impressed watching O’s style of coaching on the sidelines and in the tunnel at Tenn, there’s a very close connection he has with players that can take LSU far, but it still needs recruiting.

This is what I saw in the tunnel at Tenn, that was impressive and got me excited. LINK /

His big recruiting push happens at the end of the season or after. Just wait.

Yeah, I was livid about the hire and still not sure if it’ll work out once his coordinators move on, but O is definitely good at getting his guys to play hard. The improvement over the season is really nice.

To be honest Les had the connection too. It wasn't until the futility of some of his game management philosophy became apparent that players started to lose that motivation and respect.

If O doesn't show the ability to make that next step quickly he will suffer the same fate.

LSU appears stronger this year, as well. We've absolutely wrecked SEC depth charts this season.

His ability to motivate was never in question. His ability to run and sustain a major program is the concern.

Ya I think he will do fine recruiting. I’ve followed recruiting close since 2010 and this was the best freshman class I’ve seen. He knows how to manage a roster and has an eye for talent. He saw chaaison and offered before he was even rated. He offered tori carter and was only big program to do it. And look at him now. I thought this year was crucial for O. I was worried after troy but he turned it around. He needed a 9 or 10 win season imo because of his failure at ole miss and being unproven as a HC. Rivals won’t be able to negative recruit against O by saying he’s not HC material with a solid season. And he looks to finish strong and will create some excitement

I don’t think O is as good with the Mama’s as Les was.

I’m not a big O fan but he has the team playing hard and the penalties have been reduced since the beginning of the year. The team has gotten better

I am not SOLD on Canada yet. Aranda is acceptable and I am not worried about our DC. Not pissing on Canada it is just that he hasn't set the world on fire YET. Next year with MB or LN at qb will be the when I will pass final judgement on him.

Yeah I know they don't give a crap what I think. But that doesn't stop me from having my own opinion.

A current player, who does not dislke O, said O runs his mouth and it’s white noise to the players. They loved Miles, and they like O.

Personally, I don’t give a shite how much they like him, as long as he wins.

Meh, he had done a great job of keeping the players motivated after an embarrassing loss to Troy.

Not a knock against the last regime, but I think alot of people forget how lethargic our team use to look in November after the annual Bama loss. I am impressed that CEO is able to keep his guys motivated from start to finish of the season. Improvement.

O's biggest error this season was pulling back on the practices too much. The team took too long to be primed and it showed at Ms St. The Troy loss is on the players but I don't think that one happens if they were more hardened in the off season.
I'd hope he approaches spring/pre-season a little differently next season given we open with The U.
