So question, are we talented or not?

Which is it?

A tough schedule, and where are the playmakers on offense? Could be a long year
Better hope and pray that we sign a Fournette/Guice type "Dominant" running back in this class or it's going to be bad news.

Can't compete in the SEC without one.

They're going to regret not getting Etienne last year, (Thanks Craig and Juluke) if a signature on the dotted line doesn't materialize on NSD.................

It's the day we stopped hearing we've lost to Bama 6 times in a row and started hearing we've lost seven times in a row.

This is the exact reason O was hired. Because Alleva knew fans like you would be ok with bullshite that shrimp salesman is pitching.

Yep.

We are “changing direction.”

Next season, we will have a stable of running backs led by Nick Brossette.

Think about that.

We have 2 elite qbs on the roster. They just aren’t ready to play yet.

For some odd reason, I picture Rudy standing on a bench

I'm optimistic and the game felt different, probably because it didn't feel like we got man handled on the line of scrimmage on either side of the ball. That being said:
quote:

's the day "Eye of the Tiger" Football returned,
It's the day that Bama and Saban, while still winning, said "Oh no, they are back"
It's the day when Coach O learned that we cannot meet program goals with an "ok game manager"
It's the day when Myles Brennan will begin his transition to being the LSU QB the SEC has been hoping we would never get.
It's the day when Coach O said "We're Comin".
All in all....It's the point of inflexion in returning the LSU program to a power that top-tier teams fear and respect.

This is a bit over the top, how about we at least finish the season.

Wow just wow! How far has the mighty fallen when fans of a once National Champion contending program almost every year to being happy with 14 point losses and moral victories.

Great we are Ole Miss now..

Pump the brakes a little.

The truth is for the first time in years there's hope.
Before the game any knowledgeable person would have said if LSU has any chance, based on what we've seen so far, they would need to spread Bama out using multiple weapons(check) and go deep often(check) knowing that methodical drives would have been a bad plan based on our QB situation and Bama's defense.

This is why people have hope for the future, LSU was not as talented as Bama but we had a good game plan that wasn't running right at Bama's strength.

3 loses on the year and 7th straight loss to Bama.

2 out of the last 7.

I didn’t spin shite. You’re just accepting an entire program change off a 24-10 DEFEAT. It’s sad this is what SOME of the fanbase has resorted to.
When we actually beat bama, THEN the program will have made a change.
Consistency is when you can say there’s been a change. The only consistency is us losing to them.

We all want to believe, but SOME of us will believe when we see it happen.

If we “turned a corner,” dumbass, we turned the corner from the absolute train wreck Orgeron was going to make out of this season until Alleva ordered him to stay out of the way and let the coordinators coach their units.

What did we turn the corner to? Well, if Orgeron wins out, he’ll have the same type of season that got Miles fired.

So tell me again ... why the frick did we hire Orgeron?

You think about and cry a river. I'm thinking about this guy - Chris Curry and the other commit Tae Provens and the recruit - the big guy out of Bama that has LSU as his favorite.

From a couple posters on the recruiting board about Curry:
quote:

Have you seen the guy run? He looks like Marshawn Lynch our there
quote:

Dude looks IDENTICAL to Marshawn Lynch.

SEC Country article from last week:
quote:

Tae Provens, 3-star RB: Provens turned in yet another big performance out of the Madison County (Ala.) High backfield. This week, the 3-star athlete found the end zone on the ground and through the air, accounting for more than 200 all-purpose yards. Overall, Provens amassed 165 yards rushing on 23 carries and another 62 yards on 5 catches and two touchdowns — a 38-yard reception and a 9-yard run.
