It is goign to be tough for mccain to lose this battle. First off, he has a lot less to lose. And 2nd off, he is going to die. he cares about his legacy.

And trump needs him for tax reform. The margin for passage is narrow. And mccain won't have to bear the koch brother consequences if he votes no, since he is basically a dead man walking.

I know this sounds bad and I wish instead of passing that he would just resign(not gonna happen though with the likes of him)but if he did pass, it might indirectly save lives. Cases in point, his immigration stance...allowing the free flow of potentially dangerous immigrants into the country...his vote on Obamacare revision causing more unaffordable healthcare costs thus leading to more uninsured or underinsured leading to poor health. The list could go on with the whole Syria thing, etc...he is a HUGE liability at this point and frankly needs to be out of a position of havoc wreaking power due to being an idiot or just showing his arse for personal reasons.

There is no if, McCain is a piece of shite who's pride got hurt and he is putting that ahead of what's best for America. He won't ever vote yes on any Trump supported bill.

It really hasn't been a pretty 9 months.

If Trump gets dirty in a fight against McCain right after playing the "ask John Kelly" card, it will get very ugly for Trump.

honestly McCain's comments were pretty savage

and true

Pretty annoying seeing you treat romney and mccain like gods worthy of respect after you probably viewed them a dirtbags in 2008 and 2012.

You can't pick and choose time periods when you want to treat people with respect.

I wasn't posting here much in 2008 or 2012, but you were probably totally opposed to both and thought both were bad men.

Trump needs a TD account. On here, he can indulge his wont to attack posters without ever addressing the content of the posts.

Has it occurred to you that no one gives a shite about your opinion because you are unhinged when it comes to Trump?

I mean you don't even pretend to be fair towards the guy either.

Funny how McCain doesn't mind using populism for his own 2008 presidential campaign, eh?

It's just as ironic for Trump to say he'll "fight" back to a veteran after all his draft deferments.

McCain was a decent guy, but completely wrong in the direction he wanted to go in the ME. Romney, not sure how nice. But his tax plan was horrible and Paul Ryan as his VP would have killed Medicare and Medicaid.

This may be the most disingenuous comment McCain has ever stated and that's saying something. McCain, the neoconservatives and the neoliberal interventionists have abandoned the foreign policy of non-intervention that our founders recommended. They have placed the profits of defense and military contractors above the lives of their own countrymen. There is never enough blood to quench their thirst. They have fomented war, death and destruction around the globe under the guise of spreading democracy. They have spent us into bankruptcy. They have argued for more surveillance, more record keeping and less freedom because the enemy is everywhere. They have turned a free society into a militaristic, police state. John McCain can rot in hell.
