A lot are moving to online though, it is a way to get the working class to apply and come to school. I know I would not have completed my masters if not for online courses the university offered.

Going by previous threads in the O.T., if you didn't get your degree or degrees from LSU-Baton Rouge, you won't be able to get a decent job.

The one exception is if you get a medical degree from LSU-New Orleans (NOT Shreveport).

If it's from Phoenix etc then yes no one will respect it.

I saw someone rocking a University of Phoenix license plate frame the other day.

my daughter got a masters online and they worked her harder than my LSU degree. i was stunned by the amount of work demanded by the online professor.

Yes. Of course it depends on where it is first, but the same things can be accomplished online that can be in the classroom. It still takes the same time and self discipline.

I have no idea what degrees the people I work with have.

If you can do your job when you get it that is what people care about.

My neighbor got his online from U of Phoenix, and he makes around 150K. So... Yeah, some companies don't care.

My daughter's boyfriend's mom did the online thing - her son took all of her tests. Online degrees = not legit.

Anybody with a degree is an insecure little bitch. Real men don't need a paper to tell them they know stuff.

I've never seen an employer check to see if a candidate really had a degree.

That's actually a private, brick & mortar in NH that basically ruined their brand pushing the online program so hard. I hear the alumni and boosters are not very happy.

Massively subsidized industry.
Degree okay for some technical programs; and for a paper masters (just need the degree to meet the qualifications for a promotion).

Why do you know how much money your neighbor makes? The only people that discuss finances are trashy people that somehow lucked into making decent money.
