First let me say - I love Coach O as a person, as a representative of our state and our school. I love LSU and bleed purple and gold and want us to WIN so it pains me to write this. . .

CEO would make a great Recruiting coordinator but a HEAD COACH he is not. His initials may be CEO but a CEO he is not. NO ONE in their right mind would bring up CEO's name when asked to list the top 20 coaches in college football. A top 20 program with a non-top 20 coach = disaster. Now...to his credit, he has hired 2 of the best coordinators in the game who are both smarter than he is and command more respect....but let's face it....neither of them is going to stay here long term.

We all know recruiting is the name of the game in college football. CEO may recruit the state of LA well but guess what - LA historically produces great athletes but not very many elite linemen. Can and will CEO be able to attract linemen from out of state? Not when you are competing with Bama, Michigan, Clemson, FSU, Miami, USC, etc...

I'm afraid that the next few years of mediocrity will lead to the end of Joe Alleva and he will go down with the hire Coach O. I hope I am wrong, but that's how it's looking right now given the current landscape.

I just hope O wins enough games this season to ensure that the Alleva fire happens before the O fire and we have an AD with some balls and skills that won't take shite from Alexander to make the next hire.

The biggest head scratching hire in modern LSU football history. Don't even bring up Hallman because at least he had somewhat of a decent resume as a head coach. This hire was a huge roll of the dice by Alleva and he knows it.

If that is true, then is it worth it? Can you live with that decision ending Alleva? Then please let it play out and support our team and our coach in the meanwhile.

I will do the AD job. Anyone know what an AD does? Never mind....I will Google it.

If Alleva is fired do you really want F.King Alexander picking the next AD. He'd likely go for the first transgender football coach.

The important point here is that Alleva needs to go down with the ship. He made a risky hire (and got paid tons of money to do so). So if O doesn't work out, Alleva must be fired.

You people are ridiculous. You have pushed all your chips to the center of the table. You view it as a forgone conclusion that O will fail. I hope I'm around if that doesn't come to pass. Hopefully all you motherfrickers will leave town.

As a previous poster stated, the O hire was worse than the Hallman hire when comparing the resumes. At least Hallman had a couple of successful years as a Head Coach at USM even if it was due to Brett Favre. O has never up to this point been a Successful Head Coach. A good Interim coach but not a Head coach. My belief is that we may and I do say May go winless in the SEC or might win one or two SEC games. If that is the case, then Alleva must be fired at the end of the season. It doesn't matter if he has done any thing positive, Football is king and will always be king in the SEC with the exception of Kentucky and for him hiring and risking his own career then Alleva must be fired. Forget F. KING and let the Big time boosters and TAF bring in the new AD. That AD has a sit down with O just like Brodhead did with STovall and if not a tremendous success in Year 2 , you cut bait and let the new AD bring in the coach he wants.

I'd love to see Gary Patterson as HC for LSU. He would win some titles here.
