Name a coach and an example of what you consider transparency. Please

Well I've heard that Herron didn't pass the appropriate number of hours last year thus he was "ineligible" not "suspended"

Well that's on you, then. Herron graduated in the summer, so clearly his grades were straight.

Thus, how is it that stating he's failed drug tests protecting him.

They can't just say that guys failed drug tests. Are you insane? Ever heard of privacy laws?

Say bruh...its none of your business. Or mine. Besides, no coach ever, anywhere, has been completely honest and transparent about anything team related. You just start watching football?

No clue what you are trying to say here. I'm the one who stated he failed drug tests, I don't care about protecting him. What is clear is that it was 6 games. If he is ineligible, he is just that. I don't know why 6 games would be some magic number for academics.

There is also a possibility that this is an ongoing situation that has no clarity to report until this week.

And unless you have been under a rock you have at least read the rumblings about Guice...while posting pics of himself working out saying its "almost time" and posting paintball pics etc. No visible limp to reporters Monday and Coach initially saying he was off practice strictly as a precaution.

Are you upset there isn't more to this? He got hurt in the game and limped off the field, and orgeron confirmed he is out. That isn't some secret.

Let's say your internet rumblings are true. You want O to just come right out and say we committed an infraction?

I get that you guys want to win games, but it seems like you are so conditioned to bitch about coaching that you manufacture shite to bitch about. It was a terrible game, everyone knows it. That really doesn't mean that everything the man does needs to be ridiculed, his performance speaks for itself

This is my point. Who's example would you like the dude to follow. There is a term for this, and it's called coach speak.

Certain things you can't put out to the public due to confidentiality etc.

He does state what's going on, people then turn that into whatever they like. It's our fans that are cryptic. Horrible fanbase, sensitive little bitches.

It's because he was hired on being not like Les. He's blown more smoke up y'all's asses than Les did, and you fools ate it up.

Seriously, I feel like I'm in a twilight zone.

He can recruit, well he was the recruiting coordinator and now we lack depth. But it's not his fault.

The program has more energy, well the program looked dead and the players quit on Saturday.

He will have more discipline, well several players were suspended, but on the field, holee shite this team is undisciplined on the field.

He hired Matt Canada, they are going to spread it out and throw it. Well they can't throw it and they can't run it.

He's done basically the exact opposite of what he sold himself on and what his cronies in the media sold everyone on.

Yet, now he is available again... Its hard to come back from academic ineligibility in mid season. In fact didnt Frank Herron graduate this summer...

I just wish he would have kept quiet that guice will play and then run him out Saturday to surprise opponent. This isn't NFL where you have to list Injury updates

Man, the lynch mob is out.. they want any and every reason to bash or question the coach

Out of all the things that can be complained about right now, this is stupid

Good point OP. Problem for O though is *this year* he hasn't been successful. When he is successful, he can afford to be vague because fans will give him the benefit of the doubt. As it stands today, people think he's being vague bc he doesn't know what he is doing.

Said we practiced poorly and played like it, and it reflected on him directly.

Well, of course he said this AFTER we suffered the worst defeat in school history to a team we had lost to only once in the past 16 years and favored to win by a touchdown.

All week leading up to the game it was one team one heartbeat we're ready blah blah blah.

So yeah, pretty much the opposite of transparency.

quote:

He is trying to protect players, players that have likely messed up.

With injuries, there aren't many coaches that won't be cryptic when it comes to their very best players. Better to make the other team waste time gameplanning for either scenario.

I'm sure you were just as supportive of Miles when he played coy with player statuses right?

I personally don't give a shite what coaches tell the media or fans, never have. I personally think the less a coach says the better, for the team anyway. But I'm consistent, unlike so many flip floppers changing their tunes now that the Coach is "one of them".

I just find it funny that you start off your post by saying that transparency is one of O's "best qualities as a coach", then spend three paragraphs trying to justify his lack of transparency.

It's like some of you can't even read your own thoughts.
