What is the F/D board opinion on mixing them?

Are you talking about a michelada? I hate them, but the wife loves Modela Negro and a good bloody mary mix with some bloody mary fixins.
If you mean straight up beer with tomato juice, that sounds even more disgusting

I like the bud light chelada. But was mainly talking about mixing them straight up.

Big fan of a chelada. I just don't enjoy them very often.

My step mom orders them at Mexican restaurants

I've never tried it before, but last weekend I saw a guy at Tracey's in NOLA mix a beer with some of their house bloody mary mix. He called it "red beer" and said it was delicious

I have never had this, what type of beer and what is the purpose?

I've seen it plenty of times. Especially at tailgates. It's kind of a lighter Bloody Mary. A slower way to start your day of drinking than going straight to hard liquor. Lol

Good way to make use of bad beer, imo.

It's a perfect drink if you're looking for a good case of dragon breath

Drank them everyday on my honeymoon in Coco Plum Island, Belize. They were delicious. Tried them several times since then and they haven't been very good. I even emailed Coco Plum and got their recipe but I can't seem to replicate the ones they made.

I like them. They call it a red beer sometimes for us non Mexicans

Micheladas are everywhere in Texas. Fiesta sells a spicy powder mix you just pour beer in and drink. It's solid but might f your stomach up.

That was the go to in college on a sunday morning after a long night of drinking. Pretty good. Coors/V8

A guy I used to work with used to order them when we would hit up a bar after work. He called them red eyes and claimed that his wife couldn't tell he was drinking when he got home because it would kill the smell on his breath.

That's why you should always carry around your bathroom buddy. Rookie.

MIL loves that shite. When we go visit I'll usually drink one with her and shoot the shite on the porch, but it's not something I'll go out of my way to drink.

yep, good hangover remedy!

I really got into drinking micheladas this summer. My wife thinks they're gross, but I don't give a shite. I'm the one drinking them. I've been really tempted to tell a bartender to give me a 50/50 mix of beer and bloody mary mix on the rocks, with a hit of lime juice and hot sauce.
