Graham predicts ObamaCare repeal bill will get 50 votes

Rand either gets on board or he's dead to me. You can't just be against everything. A no vote here is a vote for Obamacare.

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) is predicting he will get enough votes on his bill to repeal ObamaCare and says House leadership has pledged they would also pass it.
"I really believe we're going to get 50 Republican votes," Graham told reporters after a closed-door GOP caucus lunch on Tuesday. "I've never felt better about where we're at."
He added that House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) has told him that if "you pass it, we pass it."
Graham's bullish tone comes as he and Sen. Bill Cassidy (R-La.) are trying to win over enough support for their bill that would repeal and replace much of ObamaCare.
The White House and Ryan have thrown their weight behind the bill as lawmakers are facing an end-of-the-month deadline to pass a repeal bill with a simple majority and avoid a Democratic filibuster.
An ObamaCare repeal bill couldn't pass the Senate if Republicans needed 60 votes, including the support of at least eight Democrats.
Both Graham and Cassidy have said they have roughly 48 GOP senators willing to support their bill.
GOP Sens. Lisa Murkowski (Alaska), Susan Collins (Maine), and John McCain (Ariz.) are undecided on the bill. Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) has said he cannot support it.
Graham also predicted that some Democrats could be "struggling" to vote no, even though the 48-member conference are all expected to oppose Graham-Cassidy.

I love block grants, and I love winning!

Rand doesn't and I want all out war on him if this fails

But I’ve also led the fight to stop and block “ObamaCare Lite” plans offered in both houses of Congress this year. These have been plans that have spent nearly as much money as ObamaCare, that left most of the taxes and regulations in place, and basically failed to honor our promise of repeal.
Unfortunately, they’re back again, and I must add to the list of ObamaCare Lite plans to oppose the new Graham/Cassidy bill that was introduced last week in the Senate.
In all ways, this bill is also ObamaCare Lite. In no way is it repeal the way we promised. I will oppose this bill as I did the other fake repeal bills, and I urge those who want repeal to do so, as well.
Make no mistake – Graham/Cassidy keeps ObamaCare funding and regulations in place. Oh, it rearranges the furniture a bit, changes some names, and otherwise masks what is really going on – a redistribution of ObamaCare taxes and a new Republican entitlement program, funded nearly as extravagantly as ObamaCare.
Their sales pitch is, “If you like your ObamaCare, you can keep it.” That’s nice, but I don’t like it, I don’t want to keep it, and I don’t want to keep paying for it.
Graham/Cassidy doesn’t repeal a single ObamaCare insurance regulation. All of the Title 1 rules, the Essential Health Benefit rules, all of them - they’re still in place here.
States may grovel on bended knee for some relief to the federal government, with no guarantee of success and no permanent solution beyond the current administration.

Graham working his homoerotic magic on his mentor McCain.

thread title is misleading

Rand is exactly correct in opposing this fraud, because a yes vote is nothing more than keeping Obamacare but putting a GOP face on it. No thanks.

Matt Bevin, the governor of Kentucky is for this bill. There is a lot of pressure on Rand to vote for this bill. I think he flips.

There's no way that McCain will vote against his boyfriend, especially because AZ's governor has come out in strong support of this bill.
So that leaves Paul and Murk (Collins will die before she ever agrees to any sort of "repeal" of Obamacare).
Tough sell.

Graham/Cassidy will probably keep Obamacare in blue states but end it in red states.
Ted Cruz and Mike Lee will vote yes. The House Freedom Caucus is voting yes.
Rand Paul is out on an island on this one.

So now we like the swamp's group think, and oppose the one person who still aligns with what the entire poliboard always claimed they actually wanted?
Should we bump threads just to remind everyone of their opinion 2 weeks ago?

Is sweet dick Graham gonna deliver his butt buddy Senoir McCain?

I hate this bill and think it's dumb strategy for the GOP to own this disaster.
The only upside is seeing the liberal hysteria "OMG YOU ARE LITERALLY SENTENCING 30 MILLION AMERICANS TO DEATH!!1111!!1!!!!"

Leave it to the Republican dumbfricks to pass legislation that hurts Red states worse than it hurts Blue states. In actuality though, it hurts everyone. Passing a "fix" that makes things worse just so you can claim a victory is borderline evil.

Graham can get McCain on board. They should court Joe Manchin to vote in favor

Conservative principles went out the window long ago. Most of this board would support single-payer if their God-Emperor wanted it.

That's exactly what the dems said. They were wrong, too.
