So the guy in the newer burgundy truck called his buddies. On was waiting in his red flat bed Chevy with a shot gun. The other (fat) one was out of sight in the Ford. I am not sure where the other one came from.

A lot of idiots in that video, but one thing that stood out to me was the one guy saying "he's like 40 and he's 19!!"

Yeah, but that 19 year old was the one harassing the guy in the truck and he stopped and got off his bike like he wanted to fight. He was asking for a fight.

As a father, I would have done the same thing the guy in the truck did. He's got his kids in the car with ( per the link) 14 motorcycles chasing it.
You are a dumb father then. Call the cops, not Uncle Ned and cousin tater

I can assure you I'm quite successful as a father.

They are in rural Oklahoma. Who knows how long it takes the cops to get there. Guys are chasing him and his family, he is trying to drive away, calls family for help. What is dumb about that?

Getting out of the truck and stopping was dumb as frick on a frick stick with your family in the car. He let pride get in his way of being a father

I don't follow your thinking. What do you mean?

Of all the decisions he could have made, the one to pull over his truck and have his brother with a gun come out to meet 14 bikers was easily the decision that put his children in the MOST danger.

That's not exactly a hot take, seems pretty obvious to me.

I'm with you except for one thing.

He stopped.

That's where he was wrong. What he should have done (if no cops were truly available) is, as you say, call his brother and family. But when they arrive on the scene, let them stop the bikes while you get your wife and kids out of there. That situation is no place for a woman or kids. Get them out and to safety no matter what it takes to do it. Andcthat includes swallowing a bit of pride and letting your brother have your six. If he's a true brother, he'll do it without hesitation because

1. Your wife and kids are his family as well and he wants them to be safe as well.

2. he knows you'd do it for him if roles were reversed.

If the 14 bikers have guns too and decide to start shooting when they see brother Jed's rifle, now his kids are in the line of fire.

The bikers were obviously a-holes and apparently instigators, but the dude in the truck wanted to fight, and he put looking to fight ahead of the safety of his children.

They said this went on for 14 miles. It's fair to assume the cops could have made it there in that time, or he could have even made it to a police station instead of going to find his bros with guns.

He also didn't have to get out of the truck, his bro with the rifle could have made the bikers stand down while he got his children to safety.

Seriously, how do you not see these obvious other viable options that were much safer options than the one he chose?

You did as well, "What if the cops couldn't get out there quickly" was your entire premise. Not sure if you're a parent or not, but when you are, you HAVAE to play the what if game for the worst possible scenarios for your kids and ensure you avoid them.

If you think calling his brother to meet 14 dudes on bikes who are already looking for a fight and for his brother to pull out a gun right in front of his children...if you think that was the safest/best option for his children, "I really can't say anything else dude"

Get out of Fantasy Land, Shifter. You know what that was. Crotch bitches encroaching on turf. They wanted war, and they got it.

Hanging around these civies has made you softer than my shite after a gallon of Wild Turkey.

The moment you start playing by their rules is the moment you're hanging upside down with your arse packed with hot lead.

Crazy, isn't it? They settled a dispute and no one was murdered.
