quote:Looking at the map of the town/county they mentioned, and it is fairly rural; however, you'd have to take a fair number of back-roads to go 14 miles and not drive through another small town.
Unless they are in between towns, 14 miles is a long ways...

I'd think that if you were being harassed/followed by "12 bikers" like they claim, then you'd not go out of your way to avoid a town.

IMO - The bikers were probably out to have some fun on a sunny day. Probably were being ever so slightly douchish, and the pickup truck likely either didn't see one of them and almost caused an incident (happens all the time when you're on a bike - people just don't see you), or the truck driver thought that he'd block the lane when they all went to pass - maybe he wanted them to slow down or whatever, but there's plenty of road vigilantes out there.
So the bikers probably did at that point harass the truck by getting in front of him and slowing down or constantly passing and falling back. But I highly doubt it went on for more that a couple of miles. 14 miles is a long distance to be fricking with someone. Very long. That's the distance from the 10/12 split to the Walker exit. And this would've been on country roads the entire way, maybe averaging 45 mph, so you're looking at 20 minutes of "harassment." I just don't see that.
And I highly doubt there were 12 bikers like they claim. The rednecks all claimed multiple times in the video that they showed up and now had them evened out or bested. It is also very unlikely that 8-9 bikers would just stand out of frame 15+ feet back from their buddy getting beat up and not do anything. And is it even possible to get 12 people from back-county OK together and none of them have a gun?

The trucker that started the fight should be arrested and charged with assault. He was the first to get physical, and apparently he organized the ambush by calling his brother when he should have called the police.
The guy who showed up with the shotgun should be arrested. He pulled out a gun with the intent of aiding his brother who wanted to have an altercation with the biker. He also attacked a guy towards the end of the video who hadn't touched him. He chose to throw the first punch with that guy. He too should have called the police.
The fat knife guy was arrested as he should have been. In addition to pulling out the knife, it appears that he took one of the biker's cameras and refused to return it. Again, someone else who wanted to fight it out rather than call the police.
The bikers, at least the first guy, are probably also due an arrest as my guess is that they were reckless operating their vehicles. And again, if they had that big of a problem with the way the truck was behaving, then they should have called the police.
In short, I think both sides are guilty here, and everyone involved (including the wife in the truck) was an idiot for letting it get that far without contacting the police. They are all damned lucky this didn't end with several people shot.

quote: I can assure you I'm quite successful as a father. They are in rural Oklahoma. Who knows how long it takes the cops to get there. Guys are chasing him and his family, he is trying to drive away, calls family for help. What is dumb about that? I'm with you except for one thing. He stopped. That's where he was wrong. What he should have done (if no cops were truly available) is, as you say, call his brother and family. But when they arrive on the scene, let them stop the bikes while you get your wife and kids out of there. That situation is no place for a woman or kids. Get them out and to safety no matter what it takes to do it. Andcthat includes swallowing a bit of pride and letting your brother have your six. If he's a true brother, he'll do it without hesitation because 1. Your wife and kids are his family as well and he wants them to be safe as well. 2. he knows you'd do it for him if roles were reversed.
Solid points, however, it's really easy for us to sit here after the fact and say things like that

Yeah, agreed. Allegedly (according to comments on link) there is a 45 minute video showing the whole ordeal.

Crazy, isn't it? They settled a dispute and no one was murdered.

Lol.. I mean, you really think that fat frick and the rest of those rednecks are actors?

Someone could have easily been killed. Human bodies are fragile. It takes less to kill a person than you think. Trying to show approval and claim superiority for anything that you saw in that video is ignorant as frick.

Those are some really backwards inbred fricks. That's about all I got out of it.

Biker got what he deserved.
Posted on 9/15/17 at 8:25 pm to GulfCoastPoke
The nine minute video opens with the biker talking to the bikers filming and then speeding up to catch the truck. These are not the actions of someone who is trying to avoid a confrontation. He needs to be thankful that the only thing he got was a mild arse whooping. Truck driver was well in his rights to call for help from his family and friends. Fratsar got what he deserved.

While true, it's the smart move if you're outnumbered. Well, the smart move if you are absolutely going to confront him, obviously the smartest move would have been to call 911 and not get out of his truck.
How does anyone down vote this statement?
