Without question he is the greatest Saints' player and it a'int even close. And it can be argued that he is one of the best QBs ever to play.

And after reading this article in regards to the atrocious defenses that the Saints have fielded during his time make me feel bad for the guy.

An interesting read.

Yeah I feel bad for him. He deserved every penny we gave him and he deserved a better front office to manage the rest of the cap.

Not at all. He's wealthy and has a Super Bowl win.

He is paid adequately and has won a championship why would anyone feel sorry for him? He will most likely hold almost all statistical records for a QB, will be in the considered one of the greats, and will be a first ballot HOFer. The man has had a great career so far, has a beautiful family, and has is set for life with his earnings so again why would anyone feel sorry for him?

Hell no.

Superbowl win, NFC championship shot in 2006, magical 2011 season that came up just short.

He's had more chances than most.

Will he go down in history as the best quarterback to never win an NFL MVP?

Hell, Bert Jones and Brian Sipe won one. ETA, and Rich Freaking Gannon.

You gotta think that eats him up a little bit.

Other than that, I got nothing.

I don't really feel sorry for anyone in this situation. Drew got paid and will be in the hall of fame. The Saints organization has made a ton of money off Drew. Saints fans have gotten our golden era and a Super Bowl championship. We are left wanting now, but in 2005, all Saints fans would have gladly taken the next 12 seasons.

And I'm not saying we should be happy with the current product. It may be time to start over. I'm just saying that I don't feel sorry for anyone.

What a pathetic post. Why would anyone feel sorry for Drew? Dudes made about $200 million playing for the Saints not including all of his endorsements. And don't act like Drew hasn't cost this team Wins. Especially playing on the road

Absolutely feel sorry for him.
YES,he gets paid MARKET VALUE. We'd have to go pay someone else just as much to have an elite qb. But the fact that's he's one of the greats, had no real injury concerns, still can straight ball but has been given such shite defenses over the years...are y'all nuts?! Drew Brees, with a half decent defense, wins 1-2 more Super Bowls or at least gets to them. As fans, we get to watch one of the best and we should also be frickin pissed that our front office can't draft or put the pieces together through free agency YEAR AFTER YEAR.

I'm also more bummed as a fan bc deep down inside, you know we absolutely should be better.

Good article.
Another aspect of the CSP Saints that goes unnoticed is our pathetic rushing game.
Our highly ranked offenses is based on passing.

You still have to play defense and run the ball to win championships.
CSP sucks at both!

And yes, I know there are exceptions.
