Hell I'll join them in the Tampa area but water doesn't stay very long....drains really fast

Yes, yes they are.

Stretched thin and some actually do have jobs but they are going.

Some use vacation.

I wish I was still young and still had my boat.

Old age sucks.

Florida easily bests Louisana in boat ownership. They will help each other.

I'm not knocking the Cajun Navy, but the projected path of the storm will isolate South Florida for days. They will be on their own.

The flooding from Irma is going be storm surge. Houston was flooded by rainfall. Storm surge gets back into the gulf almost as fast as it shows up.
