Could he Turn into a Nick Saban/Jim Harbough/Jimbo type of guy for us and this be a huge turning point?
And how long do you think he will be here?

He's made some incredible hires since Miles was fired.
That, to me, says a lot about how serious he is about being the HC.
The one reservation that some fans have is his record as a HC while he was at Ole Miss.
I understand that it was under his watch and all that (it was also 10+ years ago) but given how much better USC got, quickly I may add, after Kiffin was canned also tells me, and more importantly showed me, that he learned from his previous HC coaching errors. Something Miles wouldn't change. While Miles admitted the offense needed to change, he simply wouldn't change it. I don't know if that was out of fear or he didn't know quite how to change it but he didn't change anything offensively. And that's not a dig at Miles, I love the guy. I've met him many times.
But I digress, LSU quickly changed offensively, not a huge change but we did change after he became the interim coach and we did well.
I feel pretty good with him at the helm to be honest.

If he's as successful as we all want him to be, he'll be here until the day he dies. If we see a performance resembling his Ole Miss tenure, he has 2 years (this year and next).
I feel more confident in him as time goes on, but none of us really know until we see the product.

Well his forte is supposed to be recruiting. With that being said, I have to say that our current class is not shaping out too well although I acknowledge that it is early

Coach O will stay until the moon crosses between the earth and sun once again.

Yeah... This is all one huge scheme by O to replace Saban at Bama.

Some of the most successful people in the world have failed at some point in their life. Take ole Bill Belichick for example. He had a 36-44 record as the coach of the Browns before being fired.

Wait a sec, are you saying someone is glass half empty guy if we fail to believe O is the next Saban?

Until he demands 5-6m/year and the cheap LSU AD and or president no longer give him 4m for coordinators.

Long enough to make the next hire a "rebuilding job"...

If he wins, and I truly believe he will win, CEO will be here for the long haul. He's just a different man than he was back in his OM days. He's open minded now and understands the concept of leting gurus (Canada/Aranda) do what they do best. Anyone with a little sense and determination knows that there are always changes that need to be made to be a better man. I truly beleive that he's conscious of that and it's made him a better coach and man all together. I'm all in for second chances and a long reign of CEO LSU football!

Let's revisit this topic in December.

He's an excellent recruiter (see Chaisson story), and knows how to hire as birdman has stated. He's willing to make less to get the staff he needs to make up his shortcomings.
The only left to be proven, will he let his coordinators coach the game or will he attempt to shape the game plan mid game.

Win some ball games and that will all change.
LSU was seen as a program on the decline the past few years. You have to consider that many current recruits were originally being recruited to play for Miles. O now has to flip the script and show that our program is once again trending up.

He also was fighting with an owner who was moving the program and a QB that couldn't understand he was done.
Belichick was also a Superbowl winning coordinator credited with one of the most innovative (at the time) game plans that I think is still in the HoF.
