If we'd stop giving clicks and attention to these so-called "feminists" then they'd be regulated to the fringes where they need to be.
Also, that article reads like it was written by a junior high school chick.

When I saw this thread, I thought it would be about three women being lead down the street by a man on a horse dragging them by neck shackles.

Jon Snow is a Nothern bastard who only cares about one thing, protecting everyone from the strongest army the world has ever seen. He has no reason to give a shite about Dany's little war.
Dany is a woman who went through plenty of shite, overthrowing Slaver's Bay and freeeing millions. She only cares about getting what she set her eyes on when she was virtually a slave. She has no idea what the frick Jon is talking about.
They're fire and ice, of course they will be at odds with each other early on.

This almost exactly also describes Jon Snow.
Yeah but he's white. Thus, privileged. Even in a fictional universe with dragons, Giants, and zombie monsters and where the two most powerful leaders are women.

At least the comments slam the writer

There are so many written and youtube-ed takes on GoT that there are going to be a fair share of shitty ones. Apart from differences in taste, some people just don't know what the hell they're talking about.
That said, this is up there with the worst ones I've seen.

I agree that there's no place for this type of argument, if you don't like the show, don't watch it. Plenty of people who do watch it probably don't watch or like Oprah, but we don't rampage about what she does on her show. Instead, we watch what appeals to us.
as an aside,
So I'd say he overcame a bigger obstacle, and unlike her, he doesn't include it in a 5 sentence precusor to his title. He just keeps going about doing his thing.
as an aside,
quote:um, yes, Dany was raped and sold into marriage to a barbarian, but Jon fricking died.
They felt that it was a slight to her who have been through more than Jon and that by not bending the knee he is belittling women.

I have no idea what that shite I read even means. Was this meant to be humor?

I reacted to that like Peggy Sue after hearing the poetry of Michael Fitzsimmons.

This was a nice response in the comments:
Can't even turn off the feminism switch for one hour during a fictional show. I'm shocked that you didn't take offense to all the dragons being born male.

I'm a little surprised they missed the chance to point out GRR's tacit admission of the inherent evil of being Caucasian. They're called white walkers after all.

The way i sees it, even if Dany "freed" the slaves she still owes them some reparations and shes just as guilty as her ancestors and other people like her. she also owes some poon reparations to John Snow for her father's actions. h
How dare she demand anyone bend the knee. So oppressive. I am highly offended at her Targarian priveledge, assuming she is the righful heir just because she was born immune to fire and with a destiny to have dragons. she needs to check her privilege and give some less fortunate people some more equality.

Because I was watching the most obvious metaphor for sexism in the workplace, the most stereotypical man-versus-woman job interview in fake history.
Here's this orphan girl, who spent the better part of her life being subjugated by men, toiling endlessly to rise up and do some good along the way (ahem, she freed a bunch of slaves). She's now in a position of power, backed by a killer résumé. She's a working mom with three unruly toddlers, she's proud of her accomplishments, and she isn't about to be all modest about it.
And here's Jon Snow, a bastard with no birthright, yes, but a white man who apparently needs no introduction just the same.
I hope shite like this doesn't hurt the ending of the show. Jon Snow has been built up as the hero. The white walkers are the big bad and Dany just now learned of them. Jon is the character that you rally behind because of who he is and how he's portrayed. Dany has some of that too, but it seems like some people get behind her because "Yay girl power!" and they'll be pissed if she dies and Jon is the hero of the story. They'll claim BS like sexism and never accept that Jon's story (to most it seems) is just better than her's.

To take it a step further, Dany seems very antagonistic towards Jon just because he's called King in the North and she is dead set on ruling that kingdom, even though the people of that kingdom threw themselves at Jon to be their leader when Jon didn't even want it. The person who deserves the great things in life is the person who thinks they don't.
