If this is a serious question, I didn't invite her over. She invited herself. I told her how I typically watch games, on the edge of my seat in silence followed by outbursts of yelling, screaming and swearing.
And I don't really watch games at a bar. Too fricking expensive, and I quit drinking some time ago. I don't want to take up a seat the bartender could actually turn into a payday.
I gave you a serious answer. Do this girl a favor and dump her. She deserves a man who thinks she's more important than a fricking game. And as I said , eventually you will find a woman who is more important to you than a football game is.

I like to socialize with friends and loved ones during the game. It's my favorite part of football season. Do you get super serious and put on blinders?

Kinda. Maybe it's how I was raised. All the men in my family are coaches and women are coaches' wives with a few exceptions. We're all kind of intense about games. I cannot watch basketball with my Dad. He goes next level.
My mother hates having people over for parties and will go in the adjacent room to watch the game because the women will want to chat with her, so she'll find something to do elsewhere during important plays.
We all yell and cheer, but there's not really any non-game related conversation going on during games.

What makes you think she'll want to have non-game related convo? If she's into football, maybe she'll want to comment on the game and not make chit chat.

I understand that completely, but I'm watching it. It would be like watching your favorite show and having to answer questions about the backstory for the entire hour.
grrr i'm a real man i love football ROWWWLLLLLLL TIDE!

My wife is pretty well versed of the game. She enjoys watching LSU, and attending the games once it get a cooler.

My wife and I collectively decide which bets to place during the season.

You take a game way too seriously

Sounds like your boyfriend is right.

My current wife (north tex grad) is against CTE but more important against the polarizing "them" vs "us" that fans do in identifying with team.
I watch with guys.
We only talk between snaps.
My previous watches games, loves '9ers, raiders, has an lsu teddy bear that watches the games with her and a raggedy anne doll. She sits them facing the tv.
Dear departed td poster sassylsu gave lsu bear to my former housemate (yes, that former housemate, solid lsu fan, although attended mary hardin baylor then transferred to state penn. She has life long state penn friends but stopped being state penn fan during the sandusky uproar.
I never watched any baylor games even when they were good, so eventually she became lsu fan.

My wife pretends to like LSU for me (she's not from LA) but mostly she makes football food and drinks with me.
This.

The majority of Bama fans I know don't have anything else in their life but the Tide, so I'll allow it.
Your sister will learn to shut up if she wants to watch the game with you I suppose

My wife knows by now that when LSU plays on television, there will be shouting. Lots of shouting.

So, 18-22 year olds playing football helps you define and feel good about your pathetic life. Yep, you're a gump.

Guessing you have had a LOT of girl friends in your life, right? Wondering if Harvey had a partner in poisoning those trees as you would fit right in with his mindset. Bet you're trying to reach Hugh to get his black book of hookers, they never talk during anything. Or so I have heard, anyway.
