While I generally wish public discourse would be more environmentally civil, it is naive to not notice how humans actually communicate and that, in our culture, the civility train left the station long ago.

All the 'pearl-clutching' is just a deflection from acknowledging the actual substance and political effect of the communications...

We also aren't WH communications director. Don't forget that aspect. He represents the 300 million citizens of this country. Pitiful.

I remember watching a documentary on the 92 campaign. Clinton's communications director George Stephanopoulos was dropping f bombs left and right.

Remember the vandalized White House offices that greeted GWB when he entered in 2000?

Cut the shite that the White House office was some sort of holy dignified house of manners that has suddenly been spoiled.

LBJ was the most vulgar President we've probably ever had and he got shite done and basically signed into law modern day america with the welfare state.

To our detriment of course.

I preferred Obama's refined, civil, filtered White House.

He was supposedly speaking off the record. I'm sure he's not the only one that talks like that.

No he wasn't. Speaking off the record is something the two parties agree to before one starts spouting off. Any conversation with media is on the record if that agreement isn't made beforehand. That The Mooch didn't know this shows how unqualified he is for the position he's been given.

It's low class, unnecessary, and beneath the dignity of the executive branch & the president. It needs to stop.

This 1000 times.

The support for vulgarity expressed in this thread demonstrates the level of blind, ignorant, perverse and illogical worship of Trump and his set of "ideals" for this country and its citizens.

We went from class to crass in one election.

Do you remember when Vice President Biden told President Obama in front of everyone, on TV, in the rose garden:

THIS IS A BIG frickIN DEAL!

Was that class?

On the record or off the record there is no excuse for Scaramucci's that entire night. You don't talk like that to anyone other than someone you hold in the very highest confidence.

Yes, many times, but never got that reaction. Most were happy to see an American.

Can you tell us why they were so happy just to see an American? How did seeing an American improve their life? What country were you in where just seeing an American makes one happy? How can they tell you're an American just from seeing you?
