Drew use to have a house on Walnut but I heard he lives In Audubon Place now. I've seen his wife and kids at the park.
He never lived on Walnut. Always has and still lives on Audubon between St Charles and the River. Not Audubon Place.

Montegut, Dulac, Hopedale, and Yscloskey.
Folks don't expect them to be there so they don't get pestered.
Plus, those places are all pretty generic suburbs with great services and schools.
Hope this helps!

There are some nice spots in the city, but 90% of the city really is crappy. That's probably not an exaggeration.
If you are in one of the nice areas you are still only one wrong turn and a couple of blocks from being in a real shithole.

Lil Wayne is on the lake in Kenner. Either in Gabriel or Place Pontchartrain. He's never there but the entire backyard is a skateboard ramp except for the pool. He bought the house from Joe Johnson.

There's a good amount that live in Ormond and that area off 310. Quiet, nice, and easy right down airline from the practice facility

Uptown, Warehouse district, Metairie, North Shore. I don't think any live in St. Bernard.

That's what I find surprising. I realize that a single guy might not want to live Uptown, and it's probably appealing to live in the CBD/Warehouse District. Something like the Civic Lofts or the Cotton Mill apartments next to the Rusty Nail.
What is the name of the place above District?
However, I don't get the appeal of living out in Kenner or Metairie. For an established guy who has a wife and kids, like Jrue Holiday or vet in his 30s, I don't know why they wouldn't want to live in a nice part of Uptown. Like a place right off Audubon Park. There are lots of places available for under a million, with good square footage and very good neighborhoods.
Another option would be the lower garden district, like the area by McGehee and the 5-8 blocks up after that.
If I was living in New Orleans and had a million bucks to spend, those are the two places I would consider.
If I had more than that, I would go for the Audubon neighborhood right next to the Tulane gym. Is that where you guys are saying Brees lives or is that somewhere else?
I know John Goodman has a house close to McGehee, as does Sandra Bullock (I realize they aren't on the Saints or Pelicans). Rob Ryan lived on Webster. My friend lived in an apartment complex across the street from the Saenger and I know that a lot of Pelicans on rookie contracts lived there.

I'm not saying that these guys shouldn't live there but there's not many nice homes uptown that are under a million dollars.

Many of your NFL guys that aren't big names live in pretty normal $500k ish houses. NBA is a different caliber of money, but plenty of NFL guys live in normal houses where they play and have a nice house where ever they plan on retiring. Guys that make $20-30 mil in their entire career is only $10-15 mil after taxes, the smart guys put 80% or more of that away.

Deuce used to live on River Road in Hahnville. Had a very nice home on 2 acres. He was very friendly, during his best years people would put signs on the levee in front of his house before/after games. Often he would walk up there and talk with people. Lost the house when his friends drove his businesses in the dirt.

Jabari Greer is retired, but he and his family live on the corner of Nashville and Chestnut.
