I'll have to look out for those.
It started with the city of Bellaire and now they are everywhere.

Wait a minute. I'm confused...isn't New Orleans the city that just had all the historical monuments removed that honored the Confederate generals etc? And now they are proposing to honor the LGBTQ community with rainbow colored crosswalks? Doesn't that disenfranchise those who are not LGBTQ? Since all of New Orleans is so up in arms in support of getting rid of the confederate monuments...you'd think they'd want to unify the city rather than show support to only one group. Hmmm.

ONLY in New Orleans could they find a dumber way to waste $$$ more than taking down the statutes. The French Quarter is a historical district and painting the streets like a rainbow just looks trashy and gaudy. Homos or not, the rainbow just looks stupid. So sad the actual historical feel to the city is being thrown away to appease a handful of whiny bitches.

Because New Orleans has never been accused of being trashy and gaudy

The rainbows will be covered in blood and piss in no time. You won't even see them in a few weeks.

I don't have a problem with this.
I wish that we could document everyone in favor so that they can pay for it.

Guess I haven't been that way in a while. Wonder if the LGBTQRS's feel the need to reassert Montrose's gay identity as the area gets gentrified.

Because it's utter nonsense. We're going to 'honor' people because they choose the wrong sex to have partners with
Why are you a science denier?

By singling one group out?

Then she's gonna move to New Orleans a few years ago and act like she's a local?

To "honor"? What for?
Is the LGBGTQISBSYXH crowd considered special for doing something worth honoring?

Sounds even more ridiculous than taking down 100 year old statues.
Im sure Mitch will be all over this.

Montrose is already known for gayness anyway so it's not a big deal.

Like i said in other thread about this type of shite(hipsters/etc)
If you want your city saved, you need these people gentrifying these cities and pushing the shite heads out.
Just take a look at NY, and how the cleaned up the Bronx and other former shite holes. They even got rid of the Warriors, Orphans, Baseball Furies, and Gramercy Riffs.
Let them have rainbow cross walks, who gives a frick.
