How do I get my kid to quit biting

Just turned 2 and has a few issues at daycare lately with biting.
I've heard of biting them back but he just laughs when we do that. We've also tried slapping his hand. Any other things y'all have found that works?
Trying to get my kid from being kicked out of school...

My parents would put their Marlboro Reds it on .e when I misbehaved.

I remember when my kid was in preschool there was another kid who used to wear a "biting stick" around her neck.

Congrats on having a future cannibal as a son.

You have to punch him with reasonable force in the face. Increase the force if he continues

I am going to be serious for a second although it pains me to do so on the OT.
I had this exact issue. My daughter was born premature and was undersized for her age. She compensated by being a mean little fricker to the other kids and drew blood by biting them more than once. It got to the "if she does it again, she is expelled from daycare" stage.
We pinned a washcloth to her shirt every day and told her to bite it if she got mad. After about three days of the other kids giving her shite for having a washcloth hanging off her shirt, she begged to not have to wear it anymore and never bit another kid.

Bite a little bit harder. not hard enough to take a plug or anything, but enough to get across to him that biting hurts like hell.

Sounds like the "biting stick" theory, although I'm pretty sure this kid wore the stick around her neck for most of a year.

Both mine tried that once with me. It hurt like a bastard. I then bit them in the same place that they bit me and hard enough to make them cry.
They never did it again.
They never did it again.

I think I see where the problem really lies.
Why don't you try parenting instead of beating?
Read something like this every day:
