yes, very much enjoyed this one.
My recommendation is "In Order of Disappearance" a Norwegian black comedy with Stellen Skarsgard.

Holy shite, Nick Dunbar!!! That used to come on HBO all the time. I used to have a real thing for that redhead.

Seems like "Obscure" to some people is just "Older movie that came out before my generation".

Waking Ned Devine
When they are trying to fix Ned's face and Jackie is legitimately cracking up, I lose it every time.

I remember seeing it as a kid, but I caught it on Amazon or Netflix within the past year or so. Great comedy.

for posting for what has to be the weirdest combination of genres in this thread. Who goes from Critters to In the Name of the Father?
What's next...Ghoulies to Schindler's List?
But also for Videodrome. Such a great movie that still holds up. And what I like about the Shadow mostly is that score. Man, I miss the times when even cheap, odd films had some great film scores.

American Splendor. I caught this one day and thought "great, another sad-sack Paul Giamatti role" before I realized it was about cult cartoonist/Letterman fave Harvey Pekar.
He killed it as Pekar which (like Bernie) also featured real-life characters, namely Harvey (R.I.P.).

Frailty - Stars McConaghy and Bill Paxton - excellent film. It's a mystery wrapped in odd religious/supernatural type stuff.
The Last Supper - I weep for people that have not seen it. My favorite dark comedy ever. It's oldish, late 90's early 2000's. It stars Courtney B. Vance, Annabeth Gish, Dr. McDreamy (whatever his name is),the guy from men behaving badly, the sister from Roseanne, and Hellboy. It revolves around a bunch of liberal grad students that ask themselves the question we've all heard before. If you could go back in time and kill Hitler would you?

Toys with Robin Williams is possibly the most underrated movie of all time.
