What do you guys think about disc golf?

I have always thought of it kind of like hacky-sak...kind of a hippie non-sport. However, a few guys I work with have gotten into it and really seem to be enjoying themselves.
I don't have any interest in playing - mainly because I have other hobbies that i can't find time for - but I'm interested to know what makes this more appealing to some folks than, say, real golf.

I really enjoy it but I don't play very often. It's more appealing than real golf for a few reasons. It's cheaper in every way. You can play 18 holes much quicker than 18 holes of real golf.

It's fun... I really enjoy it
It's easier than golf, dirt cheap to play, getting blackout drunk and smoking doobies is encouraged, no dress code, and no pretentious assholes

Cheaper
More accessible
We played it some in college. You could pretty much play it anywhere, anytime. I can't really imagine playing it anymore but it was fun then I guess. I've never really known anyone to take it seriously. It's just a glorified lawn game you play while you are drinking.

Drink some beer. Smoke some weed. Throw some Frisbee. It ain't a bad way to spend an afternoon if the weather is nice

Its something that some people have an interest in playing. I am not going to judge someone for playing it. I had a friend who played a little bit in college.

Just play and see.... I think it's a good time. There is a course not far from where we live we go to sometimes. We're not like some who have a full bag of discs, but it's a good time on a nice day.

I used to play a lot. It gets you outside and walking around, it's challenging enough to enjoy, and it is dirt cheap to play. Most courses are free. If you haven't tried it, you'd probably like it.

It's a lot of fun! I play competitively in leagues and tournaments (as an amateur; I just hit 951 rating with the last pdga update) as well as casually.
It's cheap to get into, cheap to play, and not as stuffy of a crowd as ball golf. Same basic strategy as well. I'm throwing a round at ghost town tomorrow, then bucksnort and phantom falls next week.

Played once. Thought it was really fun when I did it. Played soccer golf one time too. Also fun.

Disc golf? Is that the same thing as Douche Disc?
