I was remembering back when Radiohead and Bjork were nominated for Grammys for OK Computer and Homogenic respectively (Homogenic was best alternative record, and OK Comp was album of the year), and it got me to thinking about all of the great music that came out of the 90's. These two in particular were on many critics best of the decade lists.

What are albums that you put at best of that decade? I have:

Radiohead - OK Computer
Bjork - Homogenic
Smashing Pumpkins - Siamese Dream (Mayonaise might be my favorite song of the decade)
Tool - Aenima (might be my favorite album of the decade)
Jeff Buckley - Grace
Jane's Addiction - Ritual de la Habitual
Stone Roses - Second Coming
Guns N Roses - Use Your Illusion
Natalie Merchant - Ophelia
Nine Inch Nails - The Downward Spiral (from Ruiner to Reptile is absolute brilliance)
Pearl Jam - Ten
Lamb - Lamb

There are more that I am certain I will say "Oh yeah! Forgot about that one" as this list populates. It's funny, because the 90's gets overlooked for music greatness; however, there are some classic gems in there. I would put all of the records I have listed in any conversation with the legends of the 60's and 70's.
Alice In Chains - Dirt

I'm a little biased with this comment but oh well, I'm gonna say it. Soup by Blind Melon is a phenomenal album and one of the better ones of the 90's. Not to mention it is sorely underrated.

Probably mentioned, but many "Unplugged" albums can be included. Unless the spirit of your thread excludes live albums which end up being greatest hits.

10,000 Maniacs Unplugged is up there for me. Being a 19-23 year old guy and giving ZERO frickS about how girly it was speaks volumes to how great it was.

The 90s were more about songs than albums for me. Best I can think of right now:

Weezer - Blue
Son Volt - Trace
Wilco - A. M.
Uncle Tupelo - Anodyne
Sonic Youth - Goo
Sebadoh - Harmacy
Marcy Playground
The Bottle Rockets - Brooklyn Side

OK, so maybe I did like some 90s albums
