I'm with you. I've enjoyed both Thor films. 2 was pretty slow and not the greatest in the MCU but it was still solid. I loved What we do in the Shadows so I'm pumped to see the MCU debut of Taika Waititi. I think he's going to nail it. I'm more excited for this than Guardians 2.

I'm not saying it looking like Guardians is a bad thing. I liked the trailer a lot. Looks like a major inprovement on the last 2 films

Why does that trailer make me want to take Cate Blanchett out for a nice dinner? I even want her to look like that when I take her.

I thought 2 was far better than 1. I just don't find Thor to be that interesting of a character. This new trailer looks great though.

Which is a shame, because the Thor movies are so much fun, and just plain weird. Thor 2's climax is straight out of Scooby Doo and better yet, the film knows it. I'm going to miss Thor's fish out of water humor plus Kat Dennings essentially being the audience surrogate, pointing out how deranged the movie is.
People say they want more inventive and less formulaic Marvel films until they actually get one. The Thor movies are madcap adventure films, but people wanted more straight action comic book films (which also is why people don't like the anti-super hero film of Iron Man 3, which largely doesn't have Iron Man in it)
Still... Cate Blanchett and Planet Hulk. Should be fun, but in a different way. Still waiting on Captain Marvel to show up in one of these intergalactic movies.

The way they have Cate Blanchett looking in this makes her look almost 10-15 years younger than she actually is.
