It isn’t just the Plummers being victimized here. The Baton Rouge Business Report did an article back in January about the Council on Aging, and found out that Amar’s salary is a whopping $104,000 per year – a princely amount, but just a little piece of the $1.8 million in salaries the COA was doling out.

That number is more than the vast majority of Councils on Aging even take in from the taxpayers, and it represents a level of overhead which is more or less criminal in comparison to the standard for charitable organizations.

Lighten up Francis, your comment just reminded me of that scene from Fletch Lives.

I actually agree with you, Gravy, C. Denise, the mayor are all bad for Baton Rouge and more importantly bad for the black community. This whole COA issue stinks to high heaven and it is something that will start to form a wedge in the black community, because you would have to be blind to not see ethics have gone out the window. It reminds me of Dee Dee Slaughter over in Port Allen, thinking they are above reproach, but if my boy Nokamoto remains on the case this story won't go away.

So fat frick pending heart attack Gravy is now saying that the Plummber family didn't take care of their grandmother/mother, which is why she had to go to the COA? And, that his grandmother is the "jewel of the family"? I take it then that fat frick heart attack Gary would never let his mother accept services from the COA. Listen to how big of a piece of human garbage this guy is.

High cholesterol is now saying that it's the families fault that Clark-Amar swindled the family. What a piece of crap.

Latest on WBRZ is that the gov office is going to leave the investigation in the competent and capable hands of the EBR council on aging.

Gravy's biggest problem is that he's stupid. He doesn't attempt to make sound arguments because he can't come up with anything.

Fat arse is a fraud. The "community" let's these loud mouth idiots represent them but believe me, there are a lot of black folks that shake their head at these clowns. They can't say anything without being called a coon or Uncle Tom though.

In a statement provided to WBRZ Tuesday night, the governor's office says it will leave the investigation in the hands of the East Baton Rouge Council on Aging.

"The governor's office has no involvement and any decisions rest solely with the East Baton Rouge Council on Aging's Board that governs their operations," the statement read.

That means Dorothy Jackson, who drew up the will in question, will be a part of the governing body that makes a final decision in the investigation.

Who could have thunk it - a conflict of interest on the board that will investigate a conflict of interest with the director. fricking imbeciles.

JBE apparently knows better than to shite where he eats.

His position is dependent on Dems in the statehouse pushing stuff through. He won't anger them by opening up a member of the machine to potential charges.

So basically nothing will be done?

Hopefully WBRZ doesn't let up

JBE going to need the black political machine bigly when he's up for reelection. I knew he'd sit this one out. So much for that honor code.

Given Professor Jackson's employment at Southern, this may actually put her in line for running the school.

That position used to be owned by Deedy's scummy BIL before he was finally ousted.

The CoA takes government funds. It is a government agency. The head is being investigated for criminal activity by another perpetrator of the same act. So if one is found guilty, the one investigating her is also guilty. Makes sense to have someone investigate and prosecute themselves

Sounds like it may be time for the OT to do a state wide mobilization and start putting pressure on their local legislator and calling the governor's office...
