Kind of a spin-off of the other thread. It's boring at work today, so let's see some crap you got for free at stores. This baby carrier didn't ring up so the cashier at babies r us just tossed it in the bag. Not a bad deal for us. Was around $50.

When I was a cashier at albertson's in high school my friend and I gave away a lot of meat for free when they had big specials. Codes never worked and it was a pain in the arse to take stuff off. In the bags the meat went.

Walmart in San Angelo where I bought deer corn from... they kept it outside and no one would walk out with you to verify... so 10 bags of purchased corn may or may not have turned into a pallet.

This guy I know.... used to go to academy and take the $19.99 price tag off of bullshite rods and put the tag on Falcon Rods and bring them to one of the cashiers "that didn't know the difference" between a falcon rod and a Shakespeare.... that son of a bitch had some of the finest rods money could buy!

Friend of mine (klepto) used to stuff steaks and various other items under his infant in the baby carrier. Said he'd hold the carrier above the alarm sensors and walk out the store.

A microwave & refrigerator from a big box store. They initially charged my card, then refunded it for no reason a month later. I called multiple times to tell them, and each time they insisted they couldn't see the refund. Kept saying they'd investigate & have someone call me back, but nobody ever did. And each time I called, they acted completely baffled. I finally gave up. I can't make them take my money.

It's stuff like this that keeps WalMart having guys with swords in the parking lot.

You slash price too much, WalMart slice you!

Went to Best Buy. They had a "get a free pair of surround sound speakers when you buy a new home theater receiver" deal. I didn't really care about the speakers because I already had some but they are free.

When I went to check out the speakers came up at their regular price. The girl called the manager over who put in his code and told her to "Just change it to a penny"

The girl screwed up and changed the receiver price to 1 penny.

So I got a $500 receiver and pair of surround sound speakers for the cost of the $70 surround sound speakers that I didn't even want.

I've forgotten that I have a pack of bottled water on the bottom of my cart a few times. Don't ever realize it till I'm packing up the car.

Went to Walmart several months back to get stuff for a football party, put two cases of bud on the bottom run of the buggy and forgot them while checking out.

As I'm going out of the front door I notice them and say screw it, free beers :)

I was going to walmarks for a few things and I grabbed one of those collapsible wagons to pull the cooler for Mardi Gras. Cart had a bunch of stuff in it so I put it on the bottom. I didn't notice til I was walking out that the cashier missed it so it was free.

got like a $100 angle grinder from Lowes because the cashier messed up while ringing it all up. I spent a few hundred dollars so I didn't realize until later when I looked at the receipt that it wasn't included

We use to get free lunch at a local pizza place. During the summer, we had a few friends who worked at a place and several of them would all go eat at this place at least one day a week. It would be a table of 8-10 people, we would go in there and go to their table like we were part of the group and just start getting food from the buffet.

At the same place, there was this guy who hung around with us, but he was always doing stupid shite to get in trouble. There was an arcade area.. So this dumb SOB drilled a small hole in a quarter, tied a string around it so he could put a quarter in the video game then pull it out. The dumbass was having trouble pulling out the quarter and for about 15 mins he was trying to get it out.. Untl the manager saw what he was doing. So he tried to play video games without paying for it..

We use to get higher valued baseball cards for free by going to this store where the owner's son worked the counter. We would throw him off by everyone asking to see different cards at once and he would lose track of what cards he took out and put back in, so it was easy to switch out the card he took out with another one of lesser value.

I got a free bag from Vizio.
