Milo is nothing more than a person. people are fragile and flawed and will fail and that is why you don't invest in people when you're dealing with values/politics. this is why you invest in ideas. becoming too invested in people is one of those strange, cult-like things that becomes very sad when that person "dies". you see this with the "pantsuit nation" who still opine for Hillary and post statements/comics crying that she lost 3 months after the fact

so Milo has become nuclear. that's not important

Dave Rubin is still out there fighting the fight defending the right ideas

Ben Shapiro is still out there fighting the fight defending the right ideas

Gad Saad is still out there fighting the fight defending the right ideals

if any of them get popular enough, the coordinated media machine will do everything it can to grind them up and spit them out. the last thing the progressive movement will allow is for a "conservative" to become "cool" and popular, so you just have to live with the fact that any small faux pas will become nuclear (they won't dismiss past faux pas away like they did for people like Amy Schumer)

so Milo is dead. cast him aside. move on and support the next person down the line who promote the ideas that cannot be killed

100% agree, but I don't think this is happening. We all get caught up in the person, both positive and negative perceptions, and the ideas go by the wayside.

It just seems like with social media and 24 hours news, this phenomenon is getting more exteme unfortunately.

IMO a big part of the reason that Milo has a target on his back is because Milo is a door to Breitbart. Breitbart is a door to Bannon and Bannon is a door to Trump.

Agree.

Corrections.

Milo is "radioactive", not nuclear.

Your spell check probably changed "pine" to opine.

i think it is very possible that younger generations will end up seeing rebelling against liberal mantra as cool. it's hard to be "counter culture" when all the media and entertainment industry supports your views.

Yup, he gone. He crossed the Rubicon and is now dissembling as he tries to get back to the other side after shooting his foot.

I would only add that he is not only a casualty of his own inability to self-regulate. There is also a very obvious and concerted effort to bring down any and all who contradict any narrative of the Far Left (in this instance, that the LGBTQRSTUVWXYZ -just wanted to be sure I didn't miss anyone- community's interest can only be served by the Far Left).

The problem is Milo fought the Left with its own vitriol, he beat them at their game and because of that he had to be taken out. He knew how to create a crowd and get his message out, he himself was his marketing package. Hard for guys like Benji and Dave to do that.

People care so much about personalities, and very little about principles which make up political ideals. Same thing happens in churches with people following leaders rather than their faith. None of them probably started out that way, but they do end up doing the same thing every time. Its just easier that way I guess. I don't know. I guess we really are just a herd when you get down to it.

On the one hand I agree, but on the other, the messenger has always mattered, too. Fortunately, Milo is so little-known to the public at large that it really is more about the ideas.

I haven't been keeping up lately. Milo is "dead" now? What happened?

Remember: they can only shame you if you are ashamed of what you said.

1. Never apologize
2. Never back down
3. Double down and take pride in your words
4. Shame them for trying to use it to "bully" you, "silence dissent", or "witchhunt"
5. Shame them for not agreeing while hammering them for hypocrisy
6. Say something even more outrageous and repeat the cycle.

If you do this with consistency, they'll never be able to nail you on anything because their attention span is too short.

Shouldn't you fix your title to say Milo is a dead ISSUE. I get that tour OP is trying to say, that it is no biggie they took out Milo. The false issues of the left are what is dead in the water.

I don't think Milo has been potatoe-Quayled. He is off the radar for the left now though and in the end they lose.
