So you are an alcoholic and you're just projecting.
So having 1-2 drinks at max a month is me being an alcoholic. GTFO.

My mom is a staunch southern Baptist, she used to think that if you drank a drink you had a serious problem.
You remind me of her back in the day.
Raising three two drink a night kids has allowed her to come to realize that it is a nice way to unwind a day, relax, and enjoy oneself. Maybe you should hang around a few two drink a day folks, a little levity may rub off on you too.

I had 4-5 whiskeys and two glasses of wine last night. Even got laid. I went to the gym at 6am and made it into work for an 830 meeting that went better than expected.
Some people can enjoy themselves a little bit and function, maybe you aren't one of them

I would get snot-slinging drunk tonight, but I want to be up at the butt-crack of dawn to catch some spawning perch.

Two cocktails a night? Dont ever go to Europe. I went with my boss on a trip to Italy back in 2003. The guys we met with took us to lunch and they each drank a bottle of Chianti at lunch. They were about to get insulted until my boss and I finally had a glass of wine with the meal.

Actually you are wrong, there are several cases, studies and conditions from well established addiction centers that prove this to be true. it is less how much or how often and more the why and when that determines the alcoholic. That is why the original post is considering the wrong issue.

In fact AA does not ask if you drink everyday, they are more concerned with how and why.

Are we really still arguing about this? I was just trolling most of this thread. Drinking everyday doesn't make you an alcoholic, but depending on how and why it could be putting you on the path.
and unless you are controlling the rest of your diet it very well could be effecting your health through increased weight gain.
and although I was messing with people in here pretty much this whole thread I still don't understand why somebody with kids would want to drink every night but to each their own. Some people have trouble relzing after work or other stressful situations so it helps. So long as its not effecting your health, weight, or any other part of your life, honestly its fine.
with all that being said, screw all you fat sum a bitchs, ill see yall after lent.

Depends on the severity of the binging if keeping it to the weekend. I know a guy that wouldn't touch alcohol during the week but would go on weekend-long benders and then would miss work on Mondays because he felt so bad. Lost a few jobs Bc of it. That's alcoholism.
