I have a question regarding Pizza

Tonight I saw a pizza on WFDT.
IMO it was burned because the edges were charcoal black and there was a big black blotch on the top. Occasionally I see someone who shows the bottom crust of a however fired pizza and to my horror, it is burned, as evidenced by big charcoal burned blotches on the bottom and top.
To my knowledge I have sent back one food item in my life. You got it, I sent back a burned pizza. The manager came out and apologized saying how happy he was that I cared enough to let him know they had overcooked the pizza and that they would happily cook me another. Yep, it was burned, too.
How many here like big black places on the bottom crust of their pizza and burned cheese on top?
How many get really PO'ed when they see a wonderful slice of pie that someone who lacked enough experience to lower the temperature on their oven wound up burning the pie.

I love when there is just a little burned cheese on top. Not necessarily the crust, but I am looking at the pizza you are referring to and it looks like it was a super thin crust pizza, so the edges being dark doesn't surprise me. With that kind of crust, I probably wouldn't have eaten it anyway. The particular pizza in question looks super dank to me

I like a thin crust pizza, but that one doesn't look appetizing. It's definitely too burnt

It would very much depend on the taste. I dont always eat the crust and juuust a little char on the bottom is good to me. As for the WFDT pizza, IWEI. Maybe not 10/10 but prob at least 8/10 and good enough to not need to send back.

I am an equal opportunity pizza eater. Burned from a stone oven to flaccid NY style. Makes no difference.

It was a little dark for my taste but definitely not burnt. The toppings were cooked perfectly and the crust was a bit over. Not the best pizza I've ever had but still pretty solid.

That is someone who didn't spin the pie while in the oven. It should be half that burned all the way around. The other side is barely cooked.

Pizza is a cheat meal for me, so if I'm spending a days worth of calories on one, it better be damn perfect.

I like char....I work damn hard to get the leopard spots of charring on the crust bottom, and I want some charred bubbles on top. It's a hallmark of a wood oven pie. You can keep the flabby, underbaked, or barely golden brown pizzas.

Yep. The WFDT pizza just missed a spin.

Yep. That looks great.
One I cooked awhile back

I agree with Hungyone. I like those charred bubbles. Not burned but very dark. Seymour's pizza looks a little undercooked to me. I also agree that it needed a turn.

Jesus, are any of your posts not related to calories? You have an eating disorder

I like that one but I put the basil on after I pull it. I don't like cooked Whole leaf basil.

I dropped the basil on it right out of the oven...so hot it turned. I wait a minute or two now.

Otis, I look at your pizza and freely admit I am hopeless. To me, it is burnt as are most of the pies I see here.

No problem MD. Just admire the restraint of that pizza manager for not unloading on you when you sent that pie back.

Hate burnt pizza. For me, the cheese should just be bubbling, turning a little brown in spots.
